How to spot good items: Pro Tip: The Devs designed the game so that you generally _craft your own_ "good items" rather than looting them 1) Pick an ability/combo that you like playing (game feel, not DPS number...yet) + 1-2 character stats that synergize (ie: more mana for more spells, or surviability/defense) 2) *Read the tooltip* to know what it uses/scales with (IE: % of physical damage as X damage, scales with base damage AND "X" damage--physical will buff both; straight-up X damage does not scale with physical damange. Converted damage only scales with post-conversion type) 3) Don't equip items with 2 or more stats that are NOT what you are building towards, unless it is a direct DPS upgrade across most/all of your ability roster Bonus: Pick up everything with stats, _actually look at them_ disassemble them for orb pieces if #3 applies Quick notes: -Pay attention to the nodes in "your tree" those will be the stats your class is designed to maximize (but you aren't limited to only that). -Gems are color-coded to STR (red), DEX (green), INT (blue). -If you can't install a gem, look to see if you are maxed out. You get more slots per # of attribute points from the +5 attribute nodes in the tree (items can also have +attribute) -Uniques are designed to be played around, rather than complement an existing build, if it matches your existing, you got luky

Been learning a lot about gear from you, so thanks again! I just wish this information was in the game. Coming from diablo 4 this upgrade system is really similar to just rerolling affixes in d4. Except in d4 it tells you the possible reroll outcomes. I think it would make this game 100x more user and beginner friendly if you could look at possible affixes when adding to gear.

This is exactly how to properly craft gear. Personally I don't proceed to regal unless at least 2 stats are armor/evasion or resistance, or if lucky, spirit...

Just a small correction, if you're using spells do NOT use "adds # to # x damage to ATTACKS", spells are not attacks, they're spells, so you would be wasting a mod slot by chosing that. Attacks refers to martial weapon attacks, basically anything that bonks the enemy.

Poe2 db is a better Ressource for modifiers and even uniques. This is looking up the same thing in a worse U.I. and smaller tiny window we are getting old chuck... And not everyone has a wide monitor. 😂😂

i use evasion and blind on hit to great success. they swing and miss

Another great video! One quick note though, you mention that increasing spell damage at 14:17 will increase our cold damage, that is only the case if the gem has a spell type, if has an attack type even though it does cold damage the spell increase will do nothing.

So I just am having a hard time understanding what weapon damage means. Like what is 33 - 97.

Nice video, i am playing on console and i hope that there will be a loot filter soon available :) Also I don't feel we have the equivalent for the ctrl+d to compare on the market right away! With the last patch they made it that we can go to the market directly from the game menu so maybe the equivalent of ctrl+d will be available at some point.
