Great video as I’ve been wondering if my BMW i4 would be good to drive to the alps from Yorkshire as I go twice a year. Similar range to the polestar you had. Cant understand why the video has had so few views!
Did you do it
🤌🏽
Test it from lands end to John o groats
Get off your butt and start building them.
Tony and his board of directors have misled investors and the SEC needs to put a stop to this fraud of a company.
This has been around a few years. They make it sound like it's some tech breakthrough..its a lego van and others I'm sure have caught up ages ago.
at the beginning i thought richard hammond is in the video
Thank you very much for this video!
Finally here... you just can't buy one! 😂
Great editing!
I dont know who really cares.
Thanks for watching and commenting
I’d love to take one of these for a spin!
Test for 1500 miles on one way from UK to EU
I go could go there and back in my a6 and still have fuel, they are pointless for long distances
So you could do that distance without needing a break from driving?
Thinking about this under mobility scheme. My first EV so a bit apprehensive😮 Normal X1 is not available under the scheme and had always wanted a premium mid/compact SUV.
It’s a great choice for a first EV, if you have any questions drop me a message and we’d be happy to answer!
Hi just want your opinion if kona electric only cost $5000 more than Atto 3, which car would you choose?
what a load of bolocks good luck with the car when no one wants then due to the damage they cause the planet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice, Pints while travelling by car!
At the end of the trip only!
My car is 17 years old and would do that journey and back again without the need for a "charging stop" because it has an engine.
wow thats great, but how would your bladder do on a 600 mile round trip, once we'd been to the toilet and stretched our legs, we didn't have to wait around and got back on the road
I’d like to see the electrical extension that he uses😂
No idea what you mean, we charged once...
I dont believe you dont get the joke 😱
What's the re sale value of your car in 3 years ? O yes the same as your battery ! Flat !
The same as a petrol car equivalent, resale value of a car drops the most in the first three years, regardless of the fuel type. Btw I have driven this car for 7 years and NEVER run out of charge
I was apprehensive when I purchased my first electric car but I soon realised All the anti EV stuff that I had read online was pretty much all nonsense. I've travelled up and down the UK without issue and even ventured abroad last year, without issue obviously.
It is so true, once you drive one, no one goes back
The big battery helps - and the warm weather. But it was nice the other day when my E-Niro showed a 248 mile range at 89% battery! As you show, we all have to go to the toilet every few hours, so if you're stopping to use the bathroom you may as well have a stretch of the legs and a bite to eat - and charge the car at the same time, even if it doesn't absolutely need it!
You pee every two hours? And eat? How big are you? You may be pre-diabetic.
Thanks for your great comment
National security concerns
Really, can you share your source?
These “new” batteries also have significantly less energy density, so the EVs using them will have significantly less range.
Superb presentation. Subscribed...
Love it!! What a trip. Where next?
Cupra Official website has a technical drop down page which sets out charging performance. For DC it should charge 5-80% in 35 minutes. Actually it took 50-55mins. Worse still it never even peaked at the rate it would need to average to achieve 35mins. The specification is not caveated. A courtesy Cupra did the same. I have detailed charge info but neither VW or retailer Listers have challenged the accuracy of the information. VW Cupra website doesn’t say that the battery safe mode will impact on AC charging performance. Rather it advertises cheap overnight charging and recommends Ohme and Octopus: I purchased both. If the AC charging depends on the battery safe mode then it should state that. It doesn’t. Indeed there is no explanation of battery safe mode and why/when and on what criteria it will be activated. So 75/80% of time it half charged overnight which means I could not get to work and back!
You could’ve done this in so more far superior car Tesla model Y dual motors
Miss me with that junk
Music is way too loud, otherwise good job!
🔥🔥🔥
Ima stick to a car that goes further and ends up being cheaper because sure it's free to charge but the electric bill goes crazy
The electric companies love the electric car owners electric bills 😅
Electric cars are the worst thing they ever come up with they use too many batteries and get no benefit from it how to use electric motors they would have been able to go a much further distance than what they are is there any mechanic mechanic you would know that they are they're not because of that they're not going to last long
Getting about 150-180 miles in comfort mode, but it’s my daily driver. I absolutely love the handling and the way it just flows along the road. The acceleration is brutal.
Good review and very fair. I've had mine for a year. Lots more pros than cons. After a couple of weeks I didn't miss the rotary dial on the iDrive, it's easy to adapt. Range is very good even in winter but you really do need a home charger. Performance is excellent.
Thanks for your feedback. First foray into EV and considering this model as I’d like a premium SUV. Have you considered Q4. Wondering how much home charging makes a difference. Don’t have one but can get it fitted.
@@amitavraja3385 You definitely need a home charger. We have Ohme fitted and it charges the car on a cheap rate overnight 11:30pm-5:30am and can fill it up from 25% to 100% for about £5. I've had the car over a year and have never had to charge it away from home in the UK. Don't listen to what people say about range - modern EVs are not nearly as affected by cold weather as first generation were and the stated range of 260 miles is not far off the mark. It's also worth noting that every petrol car ever made has had "theoretical" over-blown MPG figures touted in adverts. This is nothing new. As for the Audi, I would definitely consider that but also the Polestar range and the reasonably priced extended range MGs.
Ioniq 5 AWD Ltd glass roof. Very hard to fault. Up to date fresh design and drives very well.
We agree , Wattsup fat bike is part of the sustainable story of Val D'Isère
Your bikes were great. Also mentioned in the main video th-cam.com/video/VqLLrR_Bkzs/w-d-xo.html
really well made video!
Id rather get arse cancer than drive that electric shite
Trash-Talk......
It really boils down to what and where you drive. If you live in remote areas or areas where there's little stop start traffic, but smooth effortless driving with maybe some windy bit of roads, petrol car wins. If you live in the city with lots of congestion, EV wins. But then again, so many drivers in city areas don't do the traffic light drags, despite having 3.8 second EVs, refusing to accelerate quickly to the next lights to protect their range or battery life longevity, it's ironic. I try to egg them on in my convertible by giving a little rev at the lights, and as soon as the green hits I leave them behind in the rear view mirror, they must love listening to my glorious straight six sing it's heart out as much as I do❤
No one with an electric car even thinks about range in their day to day driving. The only time you care about is one long trips which most people rarely do. On a normal day youll probably use 10 to 20% of the battery and you can just plug it in at home. I think they are just not interested in a race...
Yeah, everyone loves listening to the noise pollution generated by your slow ice vehicle.
What kind of car a woman drives is very far down on the list of what makes them attractive. At least to me.
It was clearly a electric car
Yes you should all get an electric car and remember ABC always be cleaning while you are waiting for that charge.
Both cars have their places and their benefits! I'd have both!
If i had a whole damn money, i'd get a 911 or similiar for sure. Evs are however cheaper where I live because gas is so expensive
Diesel is pretty attractive to me right now, $1.8 / liter, (Petrol $1.9), and public charger $0.8 / kwh. So a diesel doing 0.4 l / 10km = $0.72/ 10km. Lease a EV is worthless for me, since they only allow 10000km per year (i drive 4x that), and anything over that is $2 / 10km :O
