It's built in a farmer's shed Doug Young he had a lot to do with the 2 row Cameco
@@garykemp6436 Thanks for that reply. - Very interesting, - and a most resourceful and inventive man. Now tell me he built those 'pivot steer' haul trucks as well and I won't be surprised. They certainly seem to be unique to Australia.
@@christopherlovelock9104 yes Doug built the articulated haulouts they are 4x4 he built the newest one just 2 season ago
@@garykemp6436 I'm surprised he didn't keep to the 'Tractor -Trailer' combinations as, I presume the trailers were detachable, - that way at least the tractors were available for other uses when not hauling them for cut cane 'billets'.
I remember watching mills transport loading bulk bins like this at Murwillumbah headed for condong sugar mill .

I drove thru Queensland around Christmas, up to Yeppoon and back. Did not see much Sugar Cane growing at this time ?? A little disappointed, it would have been great to see it. Maybe it was the wrong time of the year possibly ??
It's all harvested by October November plus theirs no cane North of Gin Gin until south of Mackay it starts again

@Jordy09 I was lucky to make it back up to Queensland at a different time of the year This time, I headed up to Cairns and went in every direction, trying to see everything possible. It was good to see the sugar cane this time around 🙂👍
