All good advice. I would add one one more caveat. Those indifferent to boozing and smoking weed or preferring a more developed and orderly place would be better off selecting somewhere like Malaysia. We initially liked the idea of Thailand but the lousy infrastructure, wild dogs, fake smiles and "dirty" old men with young women eventually turned us off. Not having to rely upon locals to read signage is a big bonus, too!

No reason to come here. Yes, there is NY, Chicago, and LA, but they're very expensive. Miami is probably the only place that I'd recommend to you.
