Lollll it is a famous song from a Brazilian artist, I know the artist in person…. It’s a classic country music in Brazil. Absolutely amazing the coincidence. PORTUGUESE - BRAZIL. Before the song, “within Theodoro Sampaio” actually Richard for the country music by Theodore and Sampaio from Brazil.
Thank You for that!! I was thinking it was the Brazilian station. 👍
@@Ponokaiguy oh no problem you are from US. I am 2 AM research for a good short wave radio, and I click on in your video. Think it’s something bizarre or aliens area 51 or some paranormal event and from anywhere else, but not from probably some illegal transmission recorder and play musical from the north of BRASIL I assume that it’s for north because of the type of music and of course for geography location and no, that’s not commercial transmission you think that’s a bizarre distortion of propagation? Because for me, it’s just a stupid joke from irregular and not regular station, because if you considering the geography, it’s probably come from the jungle of Amazonia it’s a area very remote and have no regulations or something like that. Very very big states with just a few roads, plantation farms etc

@Ponokaiguy I think he may mean "Adventist" it's a sect of Christianity, and I think they do have a shortwave broadcast
😮
I purchased the tecsun S-2200x, which in many ways is the successor to the 800. I started in shortwave on a Realistic DX-160. I love my big radios for sure. I also live in an HOA restricted neighborhood. Blah. So, I have a long wire out in the backyard going around my fence. The noise floor is really high. I wonder if could hide the MTA30+ somewhere. Have you tried a long wire?
@bigmike5678 I hear gratitude things about the 2200.👍 I haven't tried a wire yet but I live on the second floor and I have no yard. I mounted my MLA-30+ on a five foot piece of pvc and I can out it up and take it down on my lanai.🤙🏻
Fantastic radio for the money!
@@Fireblot8826 It does a lot for the price point.👍
Friends, can I ask a question? The SW band of the hand-crank emergency radio is 4.75-21.85mhz. Is it necessary to widen it? What SW width do you prefer?
@lizhao-d9u Aloha, it really depends on your location and the time of year. Right now here in Hawaii, 41m band has many stations, 7.2mhz to 7.6mhz. In the summer and fall 31m band has more stations, 9.4mhz to 9.9mhz.
Where did you get your covers gor your radios?
@bigmike5678 JSE, I put the link below. They are awesome to work with and have covers for hundreds of radios. I had the one for my DX-394 custom made and it didn't cost any extra. They are excellent to work with and have short turnaround. Highly recommended. www.jse-repair.com/product-category/dust-covers-2/

Japanese가 아니라 Korean입니다. 수정 해주세요
@유재향tVN Thank You for that. Please excuse my ignorance on that. I was using information from Shortwaveinfo.com.
This is a great radio for broadcast shortwave.
@SeanFlaherty Yes, I think it's only flaw is the large bleed over from strong stations.
Very nice
Nice! The D-219 is an amazing receiver for the price.
@WilliamParmley I agree it does well. Especially, on Shortwave. 🤙🏻
I've bought the D-219 twice but won't buy the newer D-220 again. The D-220 crackles and distorts when manually changing the frequency on FM (the D-219 does not) and has a hair trigger frequency thumb wheel on shortwave, since its frequency range is compressed into a single band. I chose the orange color for the D-220 and wished that I had gotten the green one instead. 📻😐 The orange version looks funky, but its plastic is really the cheap kind. Its red power LED penetrates the D-220's case, making it look like a toy radio - literally, that is. Tuning the radio at the 31m and 25m bands ranges from tricky to downright impossible. I can't recommend the D-220 to anyone, to be honest. The D-219 is a much better made radio even thought it costs a tiny bit more than the D-220. I'm not sure if the D-220's use of some cheap Chinese version of the Skyworks Si 4825-A10 DSP has anything to do with its dismal performance, but from the sonic standpoint its speaker sounds better than the D-219.
@StratmanII Thank You for that information. I may do a review of the 220 in the future too. Doesn't sound like it's much to look forward too. Lol
@Ponokaiguy Frankly, I bought the D-220 out of sheer curiosity, plus the fact that the recent Black Friday sale slashed its price further. 😊 The first thing I did when I received it, I tested its shortwave reception with its whip antenna, forgetting to test it on FM. I assumed that the D-220's performance on FM is equal to that of the D-219. I mean, it's a DSP based XHDATA radio so what could possibly go wrong, right? To my surprise, the D-220's FM selectivity is poor. It's nothing like my D-219 or my personal favorite, the D-368. 🙁 I think the D-220's FM selectivity issue is due to its physically short frequency scale. This is a vertically cased radio with a horizontal, instead of a vertical tuning dial. The tuning scale spans only a few inches from 87.5 to 108 MHz, so you can imagine the problem tuning across closely spaced FM stations. XHDATA is leveraging the D-220 on its famous brand name. If this radio were a lesser Chinese brand like K'chibo or Kaide, I don't think shortwave radio content creators on TH-cam would have noticed it. That said, if someone with an equally new D-219 wants to trade their radio with my D-220, I would be more than happy to oblige. 📻😊
@StratmanII I think we're on the same page. I almost made the same purchase out of curiosity myself. If the price stays down I may just to make a few videos. Lol
I bought a JOC tg-77 pocket radio recently & prefer it to the D-220. It comes with a rechargeable battery too & decent audio quality. It's also branded as Baijiali
@@lew9223 Big Mahalo for that. I'll check it out.🤙🏻🤙🏻

What are you receiving on 520 KHz? The AM Broadcast Band in the US (and Hawaii) is 530 - 1700 KHz. We have a TIS (Traveller's Information Station) here in my area on 530 KHz, but that's the lowest AM Station in my area. The very last reception I had from the Pacific Northwest was a Beacon, SKE if memory serves me, on 521 KHz. It's been off the air for years. I suspect you're receiving an image on your D219. Mine has images below 550 KHz. Good video though! 73, Mike KG7M. "North and South America use 118 channels from 530 to 1700 kHz using 10 kHz spaced channels. The range above 1610 kHz is primarily only used by low-power stations; it is the preferred range for services with automated traffic, weather, and tourist information."
Thanks for that. Nice catch. I mentioned the dial started at 520 and I miss spoke and stayed with that. It's actually 550. That is part of the bleed over problem. 550 shows up at 520 and continues past 550. 550 is KNUI out of Wailuku on Maui so only about 35 miles from me.
That's cool! Yep, mine has issues below 550 KHz too. My first Pacific AM Broadcast station was KORL, 650 KHz from Hawaii. I was in my twenties and I was so excited that I telephoned the station. I then heard the DJ say that a listener from Portland Oregon just called! After Hawaii I was able to log some of the AM Broadcast Band stations from Japan. They're on 9 KHz spacing, so like 693, 774 KHz etc. You should easily be able to hear them from your location. They run pretty high power. Keep the videos coming. I like them a lot!
@@KG7M_OR Big Mahalo for all the support. I really enjoy all the feedback. 🤙🏻
