I commend you for the right decision in opting to buy a 2nd hand sedan thru outright cash although I beg to disagree in buying an American branded vehicle. Since way back in the Phil. its well known that durability of those kind of vehicles had so many negative issues. Almost all my vehicles then were Honda or Toyota. Although I'm really impressed with the Hyundai Elantra I bought here for its durability which allowed me to highly recommend it. I came here 15 years ago & bought a 2nd hand Elantra in cash ($10,000) thru a top dealer. For me, although its more expensive buying from them but its the safer way that its legitimate, properly documented with warranty, certified, plates & registered, entire car properly checked with a report & tiptop condition, history of any accidents, etc & its worth every penny you paid for. I retired at 61 & still using the same car to this date & it has gotten me to all the places I've been to, even crossing the border several times already.

Hello! Thanks for your insights. I do commend the durability of Japanese cars. I mentioned that these cars are known for their reliability, and I agree with that. What I wanted to say was domestic cars tend to be more affordable here. I wouldn’t generalize that all American cars suck, however. We still see older Buicks, Lincolns, and Chevys running around. One of the points I missed was the ease of service in picking your car. I picked a model that’s easy to work on. Not all dealerships and car salesmen are bad. I was just emphasizing on getting the most affordable car. I love that you got an Elantra. Hyundai has come a long way. I’m still bummed I couldn’t afford a Genesis 😂 Have a great day!

Big part of purchasing used car is to be prepared and knowing a mechanic helps tremendously when choosing. It is not good for a car(incl. import brand) to sit for long period but it does help when it is inside the garage. I like to revive older vehicle and add your own touch. It is more satisfying than buying a new car.

Every car needs tender loving care (and the occassional high revs haha) I do like the idea of adding your personal touch to the car. My main reason would be so I could find it easier in the parking lot! What car do you drive?

Hello. Thank you for the very informative video. We are planning to fly to Calgary end of December with my husband and 2 dogs. Me with SP and my hubs with OWP. I am also going to SAIT. I want to ask for suggestions sana. Should we look for places to rent long term na agad while still in PH so we have a place to stay straight away upon arrival or airbnb or hotel? Ano po kaya magandang gawin. We are flying 1 week before the classes start para dito na kami magchristmas.

Hello, kaibigan! It might be best to consult an immigration professional for this. What I can say is nung namimili ako ng course, my agency advised na ang piliin ko is something connected sa natapos kong degree, or sa job experience ko (para masabing "academic upgrading"). I used to work as a project manager for a digital marketing company so I decided to get a diploma in Business Administration and major in marketing. My first choice was something else (which I shared in a different episode) Again, it might be best to consult an immigration professional. Best of luck!

Sabi mo, yes, it is still worth it n mag aral sa Canada, pero di mo sinabi why. Ano ba ang return ng lahat ng pag hihirap na yan? Magandang trabaho ba, like hindi ka na mag several jobs pagka graduate dyan? Madali k ba ma hire sa good companies at better position and better pay? Baka naman pagka graduate dyan, same pa din ng iba na double job pa din? Ano ang edge ng naka graduate at ano ang return compared sa hindi nag graduate? Pag balik ba dito, mas madali ang job application and better benefits? Or kung mag stay dyan, ano ang magiging edge mo sa majority of the entire population of young adults? Cguro dapat gumawa ka ng isang video nyan.
