After you drill the holes for the speakers, you mount the adapter, then speaker gets installed. Let me know if you'd like a pic, I can get it tomorrow.
The wires are attached to the speakers with male and female plug ends for a quick disconnect. Speakers come off with the bag and wires stay with the bike.

What size speakers did you use for the rears
6.5" Polk MM1 marine speakers. Love them.
There is rear speaker wires under the seat. Same harness as voyager.
Yep, that's where I tied in but had to run them through my amp also.

I ran the rear wires to the rear harness (under the seat), then tied the harness into my amp and ultimately to my head unit.
Looks great. What will you do when you need to take off the bags to get access to the wheels? Did you leave enough cable slack?
