      @@stevenmcalister826 Barbados didn't leave, it's becoming a Commonwealth republic and still is a monarchy currently. Ireland is the only country that left that hasn't sought to return. (Pakistan did, Gambia did, Zimbabwe applied.)

      They didn't kick the British out. Also, a United Ireland via rejoining the commonwealth would work because it would integrate the loyalists and unionists into a so-called reunification.

As for "integrating" loyalists and unionists in NI, I doubt Ireland has any interest in absorbing NI, and therefore no interest in what they do to each other. Furthermore, given that the UK is an international laughing stock, I don't think their little 'club' is quite as desirable - if it ever was at all.

    I may have a suggestion; Ireland go back in the commenwealth and Queen is head of state and UK and Ireland have no border in terma of the commenwealth and also Ireland leaves the EU. In exchange Northern Ireland is handed other to the republic and a currency union with the UK

In 1975 the Republic of Ireland officially gave up its sovereignty and ceased to be a independent nation after it joined the common market. The U.K. made the same mistake As the Republic in 1975 and joined the European Union. The U.K. is getting its independence and sovereignty back, while the Republic will continue to be a Slave to the Eu.

The UK is going to find itself in a situation where the only expression of "... its independence and sovereignty..." will be to ask "How high?"when told to jump by China, India, the USA or the EU... "...the Republic will continue to be a Slave to the Eu"? Slaves do not have the right to voice, vote or veto.       @@stevenmcalister826 I think it's pretty apparent that nobody really thinks about it. If you look up Ireland Commonwealth not much comes up. It's not that ireland is against it per se, it just hasn't found a need to think about it or think about joining it. Ireland will only bring it up when it needs to demonstrate to unionists that ireland is not anti British and uses it as a symbolic way of respecting British identity in a United Ireland.

    If the IRA had stuck to attacks on the Brit Army we could have understood it, but when they started blowing up civilian men women and children, all respect for them flew out the window. An IRA bomb went off in my home town of Leicester, luckily nobody was hurt but it made everybody hate the IRA even more.

      well, the British army didn't stick to killing IRA men and had been slaughtering women children in Ireland for centuries. Brits set bombs off in my city too (Dublin) but unfortunately for us, we didn't get away without casualties, in fact, it contributed to the bloodiest day of the troubles. For every 1 atrocity committed by the IRA in England, there's 10 for the British army in Ireland.

The Judas construct is all about guilt. The church has destroyed our society. Spirituality and yes, religion has an important part to play in society, but not the Roman catholic one!!
