Man it's crazy how you get a good comfortable set up and changed it. I think it's in our DNA to constantly keep changing and trying to grow our experiences. I did the same thing and when I went back to crossfire it felt so good and I had this feeling of I'm back and the world is right again. But I'm doing it again and trying the new Nomad and the radio master 15. I'm just waiting the t15 should be here this week and I might post a video. Also the Lil dji controller was just to small for me and could not ever get comfortable at all and made the flying so uncomfortable. My qx7s has always been my go to for 6 year and just feels like my favorite pair of shoes and it will always be there on standby ready to go. Keep flying and I will keep watching.

Very nice bc. Just worked VK a few minutes ago from FL. Amazingly easy i n wee hours on fk8 and 50w to windom at 30 ft. CW bands are slim pickings now, but for marginal stations it really helps. One of my special qso's was on 40m qrp using hb vertical in Chicago subs, to a Norfolk Is. Aus Navy wx tech. 45 min chat but no callsign. Said if he gave it, we would be overwhelmed by qrm. At end he signed then boom! Dozens called him, and it was back to normal 599 73 qsos. My uncle loved VK land, Darwin on r&r after Buna, NG fighting. I have friends in 32nd Red Arrow who fought there too. They praised the tough and brave Anzacs. I have visited Dardeneles btw, on Anzac day. CW4 Karl Schulte, Wisc NG ( " Terretorials"). 73 WA2KBZ

I don't think an amateur call book is necessary, it's a class licence system now. Amateurs often think they're a special case but really we are just another group of radio transmitting users like all the other class licence category users. ACMA does have an active Call Sign Register to check on availability of call signs www.acma.gov.au/call-signs As a long term amateur I do quite like having my own allocated callsign so I do understand the argument for maintaining an ACMA licence lookup database.

I am a graduate of Central Michigan University (decades ago) and no longer live in Michigan. It was odd to learn of the destruction CMU's WCML stations from WIA. 73 es gud DX
