WNYT Commercial Breaks (February 9, 1987; with 11pm News Open)
#miniseries
Taken from The Two Mrs. Grenvilles, airing on NBC affiliate WNYT (channel 13) in Albany, NY. Part 1 was on the tape but it didn't have anything worth the capture.
I did have soaps from WNYT that aired on the same day, but I yanked the video because I found another taping of them (which I'll upload soon). I also pulled a taping from January 22, 1987 because the Ed Dague ID in that video also appears here.
(C) 1987 Viacom, now part of Paramount Global; WNYT is now owned by Hubbard Broadcasting. All rights go to their respective owners, same for the advertisements. For educational and historical purposes only. We do not profit off this video.

WTEN Commercial Breaks (May 21, 2001)

#miniseries Taken from Anne Frank, an ABC miniseries on the titular holocaust victim. This is my second taping of the show, and the second taping of its second episode, airing on WTEN (channel 10) in Albany, New York. My other taping was from WWTI in Watertown. Due to the edgy subject matter, ABC aired the second hour of the show completely without commercials. The credits even aired separately...

#miniseries Taken from the second episode of On Wings of Eagles, airing on NBC's Albany, NY affiliate WNYT (channel 13). This aired a week after NBC's 60th anniversary special, which unveiled the new peacock logo. With that, commercials from pretty much every miniseries NBC aired in the 1985-86 season has been posted to TH-cam. While this channel has On Wings of Eagles, Dress Gray and The Delib...

#miniseries Taken from On Wings of Eagles, NBC's second of two May 1986 mini-series offerings. This aired locally on WNYT (channel 13) in Albany, NY. The show centered around an American forces journey to rescue two imprisoned hostages. This was a week after NBC revealed its new peacock logo. However, the network obscured it for most promos and IDs for the rest of the season. WNYT was among the...

#miniseries Another round of Mini-Series Week, why not? Starting this one off with Oldest Living Confederate Widow Tells All, on CBS’ Albany, NY station WRGB (channel 6) (located in Schenectady). This was the second episode of the series, I thought this set had better commercials, plus the news open I posted. I also started out my other Mini-Series marathon with the one following this, Menendez...

The beginning of NewsCenter 6 New at 11, on WRGB in Schenectady, NY. The station carries CBS programming for the Albany TV DMA. The tape also cuts off during the top story. However it is still near two minutes worth watching. Jack Aernecke and JoAnne Purtan anchor, with meteorologist Scott Stevens briefly appearing, a report from Marianne Worley, and Kyle Kraska (sports) also on the talent bump...
WHYY Commercial Breaks (July 28, 2000)

Taken from Mystery programming, as well as some WHYY intershows and Charlie Rose. WHYY-TV (channel 12) is PBS' Philadelphia station licensed to Wilmington, Delaware. Most of the adverts in the breaks are WHYY-related, since PBS stations do not air actual commercials. Also included is WHYY's CEO Bill Marrazzo on the station's programming. WHYY was gearing up to air coverage on the Republican Nat...
WHYY's Flicks with Patrick Stoner (July 28, 2000)

Another interesting find! This is "Flicks," a short series on the latest movies coming out, airing on PBS member WHYY-TV (channel 12) in Wilmington, Delaware. WHYY serves Philadelphia as well, but seeing as it is from Delaware, I am putting it in my Delmarva TV playlist. The show is hosted by Patrick Stoner. Here, he interviews eddie Murphy on The Nutty Professor II. Murphy plays multiple cast ...

Taken from Santa Barbara and The Oprah Winfrey Show on NBC affiliate WNYT (channel 13) in Albany, NY. Santa Barbara ended its run on NBC the next year. Following Oprah was sitcom reruns, with The Golden Girls and Cheers airing afterward. WNYT added 5pm news in 1994 as a replacement, and now it airs news at 4pm. However, in 1992 that was seen as a novelty, and in a small market like Albany that ...

Taken from The Christmas Wish, starring Neil Patrick Harris and Debbie Reynolds. This aired locally for Albany, NY audiences on CBS affiliate WRGB (channel 6) in Schenectady. The CBS Sunday Night Movie was replaced by programming in 2006 after 20 years of being a weekend staple on the network. At the time the line-up also included 60 Minutes and Touched by an Angel, and in its final years, Cold...

The start of the 11pm “Channel 6 News” on CBS affiliate WRGB in Schenectady, NY. This was the weekend edition of the program. Mary Beth Wenger is the anchor. The top story is on a candlelight vigil for a shot Albany resident, who was targeted due to their race. I don’t need to explain anything else as the report speaks for itself, though 26 years later it feels like deja vu. In lighter news on ...

Taken from the final Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson on NBC station WNYT (channel 13) in Albany, New York. I’ve been doing this for over 3 years now, and now I find this landmark TV event’s Albany airing? Weird! I also have the commercials as they aired on KVBC (KSNV) in Las Vegas, and how it played on WNBC in New York, but I chose not to upload it. Also for your viewing pleasure is another...

The D block of News Channel 13 Live at 11, airing on Johnny Carson's final Tonight Show episode. Finally, right? I've had tapings of it off WNBC (which I didn't bother with), plus one from Las Vegas of all places, but until now you haven't seen how it played out in Albany. Chris Kapostasy anchors (I guess Ed Dague had the day off), Bob Kovachick has the weather for Memorial Day weekend, and Joh...

Bell Atlantic would become history later in...

The final block of the weekend "Action News" on ABC O&O WPVI-TV (channel 6) in Philadelphia, airing on Saturday. I OAD'd the Saturday from Rob Jennings mentioning "we'll be back tomorrow," meaning Sunday, and the story on the D.C. Kite Festival which usually happens in late March. Aside from Jennings, Sally-Ann Mosey and Phil Andrews join him for the weekend show. WPVI (until Jim Gardner's reti...
