I think the reason is the two great different in ruatsu Aizen will of his ryatsu couldnt sense this version of ichigo ryatsu so it is the most interesting reason for me
that's valid point given that dangai ichigo is used both his quincy and hollow power. so it could be.🤔
But why was Shunsui so suprised when he saw Aizen walking? Shunsui had alredy been under the effect of kyoka suigetsu, meaning that he alredy somewhat knew the extent of it's powers, yes he wouldn't have been able to distinguish reality from illusion. But it's weird how he reacted, you would expect him to be suprised and maybe make a quick coment about Aizen walking and then just say Oh It's just Kyoka Suigetsu. But no, he was suprised when Aizen was walking like he would've known if it was Kyoka Suigetsu or not.
Shunsui was surprised because just like aizen explain his KS to work. He needs to show his blade but after hogyoku infuse his body with his zanpakto that's doesn't apply to him now. He can just use his KS because he infuse with it thanks to hogyoku. But shunsui surprised because he wouldn't expect someone to walk just by realising only seal on his mouth. Also if aizen can walk without seal release he would escape mugen long ago. So that's why I conclude that he used KS.

Not all devil fruits can awaken. Depends on the user. And awakening doesn't mean it'll be good. The Zoan users in impale down are a good example. Then basically got overpowered by there devil fruits will and just became big dumb fighting animals.

Its simple. Bankai is basically as u said shikai on steroids. Soifons shikai u need 2 hits to kill while in bankai it is supposed to be 1 hit to kill
