As long as the lids/seals aren't bent or damaged, you CAN reuse them. I have reused my canning lids for years for "dry canning" like you were doing in the video. I can with them first & reuse them for dry storage. Your sugar won't just get lumpy, it'll turn into a solid block you won't get out except to break the jar. Be sure to use store bought jars from spaghetti sauce, pickles, etc, for dry storage as well. Using oxygen absorbers eliminates the need for a vacuum sealer in most cases. That way, you have all the "actual" canning jars to can all the yummy stuff from your garden. Money saved on both that way. Good luck with your garden & good on you guys for working together on your storage project together. Great learning experience for the kiddos & great memories made for all of you! I get stressed with the amount of T-shirts I own because when I was younger I never liked anything my mum bought me and I ended up probably rejecting some nice clothes. I'm not in the position where I can buy my own clothes yet and I get excited at the thought of buying 9 really nice items of clothing that is MY taste and being really happy with those and get rid of 20 shirts that I never really liked but kept because I don't have much of a choice. I find these types of videos really satisfying to watch and I just organised my shirts a bit and got rid of only 6 and a bag and 1 bag up for sale, but I felt really good abt it. So no I'm not your family 😂 could be if you'll let me in hahaha but yeah these videos are satisfying and keep it up

I’m super DIY too (I’ve renovated our entire custom 1970 manufactured home, which is why I watch vids like these for fun!) and my husband paints classic cars, so luckily over the years he’s taught me that prep is EVERYTHING! I prob would’ve cleaned with paint stripper or thinner and a scraper first, then sanded, washed, wiped with thinner again, then painted.

beside the house..would be interesting to see what you grow and your canning process...a bit about your land..i see this was filmed a long time ago...maybe you don't even vlog any more...what drew me in was your kitchen reno then seeing your land getting prepped for planting...which I thought was a bit different from other vloggers...!PS a roller would have been better to use on the kitchen cabinets....

I see your husband dips snuff ( saw it in his back pocket). My friend in North Carolina husband did the same thing and half his jaw, half his face, tongue had to be removed because of JAW cancer. His dentist found it because of an abscess on the inside of his cheek. He would have been GONE in 3 months if the dentist had not found it. Tell your husband to get off that stuff now before it does major damage. He's still going through chemo & radiation on his face. He's only 60.

I had to be ruthless recently and parted with my hope chest and my china pattern. Those 2 things are out dated these days. It was hard but I am choosing the snowbird, smaller homes lifestyle. There are tears from time to time however, I take a picture of the item and its fine. Good video. Subscribed.

This is the first time I've watched you and I love quote, LOVE how you count things you got rid of. I just got rid of about 225 items in a yard sale in March and made over $200. Last year, I had a yard sale and I got rid of about 150 things. I am not a minimalist but I'm trying to be. I have a huge and I mean huge walkin closet and now it's half empty. I can't even tell you the stuff I've gotten rid of because I don't miss it. You won't miss a single thing and after a while it's just a faraway item that you'll never miss.

I love this. My closet is on my 30 day decludder list... I keep passing it by🤣. Have you thought about attaching all the white cabinets in the closet and moving all your clothes in those? Make your own closet orginizer. Maybe you will be able to get rid of some other dresser pieces. Just a thought. I'm super jealous of the size of your closet.. mine is the size of a broom closet..
