But, it doesn't always work - i've tried 20-30 times over and over again, but this method was absolute useless in my case and it's very time-consuming, so...

@@LastDrakkar82 yeah even i tried that had to do lot of changes the way played the mission. I would say around 20-30 tries i would have done this mission to figure it out.

worked for me had to kill Faust twice. last choice was the one i did wrong the first time

@@RohanKumar-oq4qb yeah, but it will give you a sure win. This is one of the hundreds methods you can beat him. If you are skilled no need for these its simply a dance to well timed dodging as simple as that

if you do all the counters correctly its almost similar to Dancing to a rhythm

Shit, I only wish I made it that far. The Broken Sage is kicking my ass so much on NG+3, lol.

I was around level 120+ when i beat the great sage.Its not the level its the strategy you need. Build is simple all need is smash stance and some critical Make some medicine to improve critical damage. Cloud step and heavy attack is the key in phase 2.But you shouldn’t spend any medicine or skills in phase 1.save all for phase 2. i believe you are on your 2nd or 3rd cycle in the game. There are some repetitive movements of the boss.read the patterns and dodge accordingly. You can do it.level 282 means you are much more powerful.

Yeah even the strategy I used the first 2 times around doesn’t work against NG+2 great sage. It seems like I can’t land any light attack combos on him and my charged attacks are too slow and leave me open to his counters that damn near kill me every time. When I try to spin the gourd (which takes 3-6 business days in this game lol) he usually throws a quick hit in there that keeps me from healing or he just steals the gourd all together. I just feel super nerfed in this fight. In my first playthrough Erlang gave me more trouble than any boss in the game but now he’s even easy compared to this version of the great sage. He really is broken lol

Holy shit I just got it done now at level 305!! Had to dig deep into my bag to pull it off. Thank god for fully upgraded life saving strand. That spell bailed my ass out like 4 times in that long ass fight lol can finally start another cycle and get that last item to complete the trophy collection 🙏🏾

Wanted to try this as there was a patch fix on 3rd October. So far going smooth though.

This method works for sure, in phase one don't use any skills or vessels keep them for phase 2

@@DOOM_glazer i think it was 19% i used curious to increase critic plus there is one curious if you fight on water gives additional defense

@@DopaGamerPro i used the fan method so it took me less than great sage tbh since i didn’t know the fan worked in the great sage fight also

@@hobosatemychicken6203 Yes Fan method only can break his defence.plus theres one bat spirit who can freeze him thats really helpfull

@@Tommy-cq5qo This is phase 2 clip didn’t include first one as its easy please use the charged heavy attack on Phase 1 and don’t use any of the skills or items save them for phase 2

Does game save between phases

@@iceland50 no ,first phase and second phase come one after another But after you beat stone monkey there is a save point

@@jacobschroeder463 yeah you must have ring of fire, thrust stance , fire transformation in addition observe closely his movements and attacks they are repetitive In addition to that farm a lot before this and level up thats the key to all bosses that no one explains

Thanks, Kind of first i had to identify his weaknesses ,his fighting patterns and the skill sets i need to ignite This is the first boss which started to make the game hard Have you played black myth wukong ?

Wow really , Did you won on the first attempt. Are you playing on controller. For me I'm having some difficulties with dodging. sometimes it's not animating properly

@@DopaGamerPro yeah first attempt. Pretty much a miracle considering i went into the cave thinking i wouldnt see another boss so soon. I use a controller on a ps5, btw. I had a lot of trouble dodging too, especially with the Whiteclad Cunt who was the first somewhat hard boss for me due to his two forms and me not grinding levels like i would do in a souls game. But when i went off of graphics mode and went to fidelity to get the frame rate up, it got easier. Maybe you have a similar problem? frame rate can really affect a person's dodge. Plus there's also a slight delay between you pressing a button and the game reacting to it. Which is why a lot of high-end gaming monitors and controllers work to minimize that delay. Wukong as a game is also something that you dont get the best performance out of unless you DO have very high end PC rigs, too. I forgot the specs needed to run it at its full potential but it was too rich for my blood i can tell you that lol.

@@CupcakeDeity Wow you have studied the game so well. Lot of guys just play on high end pcs and have no idea about these things. I have mid-level gaming laptop with RTX4060, still it struggles to play on 2K. Now I am planning to upgrade ram to 32Gb hope it helps. I also use a ps5 controller. it's so easy to control. I Saw on forums even 4090 struggles to run 4k Full quality. LOL This game needs a server to play.

@@DopaGamerPro The game is definitely not very optimzed for current consoles and mid-tier PC rigs. Its a shame because thats exactly why games like Cyberpunk 2077 didnt perform as well as they could have when they came out despite having great hype and an admittedly great focus on storyline. They didnt appeal to the wider audience of people who only had older gen consoles and PC rigs. Had it been optimized for older consoles from the starts, a wider audience would have loved it. Specific to CP, the anime saved it and made many people flock to the game As for Wukong, despite the flaws it has, it does have VERY solid gameplay and story. Same can be said for Stellar Blade. These games and studios have set themselves apart from the big IPs like Call of Duty and other large studios that have only put out either subpar unfinished games or games that are more like glorified reskins or DLCs in recent years. Mark my words, these big IPs will be replaced because they offer nothing new. At the very least, China has a plethora of stories to explore. Wukong is only among the first and i think we can expect more like it in the future.

@@CupcakeDeity wow how do you know this much of information You might be a really game lover I agree this game is not optimized Even high end pcs cant hold stable frames how would a mid range survive Gaming industry is now hugely dependent on GPU power All those 4060 4070 and 4080 4090 can perform 2k and 4k respectively All those below are for excel and word lol 😆 Keep in touch share your thoughts and knowledge on the content 👊
