Spoiler alert: the "special sauce" mixed with the sulphuric acid was hydrogen peroxide. The combination of these two compounds makes for a solution called "pirhana solution" and it's some pretty nasty stuff. You can watch a nilered video of it where it eats through a chicken leg.

Almost all of the chemistry in Breaking Bad was completely wrong (cant talk for the meth bits) but maybe that was on purpose so people didn't do anything stupid. Hydrofluoric acid is a weak acid and wont burn you but will kill you after it seeps into your system

the one acid i'm pretty sure will do the job would be Fluoroantimonic acid. but it's a huge hazard, difficult to contain (this acid can be contained safely in a container made out of one specific metal, the sole and only one which won't be dissolved) and almost impossible to obtain as a casual civilian. and certainly not in quantities high enough to make a soaking vat with it. but piranha solution was a smart idea. definitely a chemistry teacher would have the idea. Addendum: My (nonexistent) lawyer demands that something would be made clear, this is an answer destined to the morbidly curious, the TTRPG players and the writers or novelists. this is in no way something to be put to practice.

Mix of sulphate acid, nitrate acid and little ammount of hydrogen peroxide is the right stuff to dissolve protein base substance.

I actually found out about Breaking Bad because of this Mythbusters episode I saw on a TV as a child many years ago.

A TH-camr melted a whole chicken in hydrophilic acid. I don't know if he mixed anything else but it dissolved.
