just got pentel watercolor pencils but i was doing the backround then the pencil tip got short and shorter and it did not come with sharpener i think this brand is good but they need to add sharpener to the packeing love how pigmenting

I am so sorry Dikto that you had to spend so much money on what is obviously an extremely poor product! Like you, I have a lot of respect for Rembrandt’s student line, their Van Gogh watercolours themselves are incredibly good to work with, and are, in my opinion, the best student watercolour line there is. I know of lots of artists who use many of the Van Gogh colours in Professional work. I have had these pencils in my Amazon basket ever since they appeared, but shall remove them immediately. Again, so sorry you had to be the one to pay this high price for rubbish! I appreciate you. 👩🏻‍🎨🖌️🎨🫶🏻

Brutfuner have very poor lightfastness. They fade totally in short time somebody reported. And Holbein have excellent lightfastness.

I am dreaming about the 150 Holbein Set. I will try to will find a private person from Japan, that can send me the Holbeins as a gift to Germany. So I wouldn't pay customs and tax. To buy them here its double price. Only 200$ or 200€ in Japan, and here around 400,-

Please could u tell me what kind of black paper you are using?

The tabs on the side of the moving tray hold the tray firm just as the tabs hold the half pans firm. Pull out the tray, bend tabs on left and right out, push tray back into tin box. Then your tray won't shift or move.

I might get these for the price difference and lightfastness; $300 for 60 Faber-Castell brush pens is nuts especially when considering they don't blend that well and are finicky with most papers

I have FC watercolour double sided watercolour pens (2nd hand, 45 with genuine case for £30 on eBay). They were only swatched and the artist disliked them. Do you ever buy 2nd hand? Which brand is best for beginners? For oil pastels

Thank you for showing these acrylic paint markers. When I noticed that you posted a video on these markers, I thought how uncanny that was, considering I had just posted my swatching video for Artistro's set of 72 acrylic paint markers yesterday, too. When I was swatching, I noticed the same issue you showed in your video. I taped strips of black paper (140-lb. black Legion Stonehenge hot pressed) onto a sheet of white paper (140-lb. white Fabriano hot pressed). The colors show up very well on the white, but on the black paper, only the darker colors showed as solid, except for the fine tip on a few of those dark colors; some of them didn't show up as well as the 5mm tip ones. I thought the problem for the colors not showing up on the black paper was because the Legion Stonehenge paper is 100% cotton. Is your black paper also 100% cotton? If not, then the problem lies with the acrylic paints, maybe? I'm going to test those markers on other kinds of black paper that I have to see if the paper was the problem. Many times, it's the paper that affects how the colors lay down rather than the coloring media itself. Also, I got a kick out of the fact that Artistro had a color name/color number chart on the back of the box (on mine, too), but there are no color names/numbers on the barrels of the markers. I talked about that in my video, just as you did in yours.

Thanks for the review. What I find that works well in coloring books is to use acrylic paint with different sized dotting tools to make dots. The acrylic paint is opaque so you do not see the color of the paint under the dot.💖 Much better than the paint in those pens.

its full of mica hun. they all dry, or scratchy as such. its just the particle. you wont find another unless its more wax based and soft. this is oil and mica.

I bought the normal pencils but they were terrible, struggled to get any colour down and they were scratch like cheap kids pencils but these look good

The colours are shit, unusable. I gave them to a 5 year old to try out watercolors. The brush has no tip, its catastrophic. Also I tried to put in the Van Gogh pans, they don't fit. Don't waste your money on this.

Mine actually layer really really well. Probably because this video was made 2 years ago and the markers got better lol- honestly i like these more then posca markers, since they dry faster and are cheaper. Good video!
