Maitland Parker recently passed away from mesothelioma. Other than the town leveled, and the area blocked off with signs warning that trespassers will be prosecuted, the area still has the tailings. There has been no move to clean up. I am not from Australia but heard about Wittenoom and the meaning of the song Blue Sky Mine. I do hope one day the government of WA will do something to clean up the area.

Love this little clip and loved you in Muster Dogs. I have a Kelpie and I know she would be fantastic with mustering. Unfortunately we are not on the land, although we do have 5 acres and live near the beach. She loves trying to herd fluffy doodles but their owners aren’t so impressed. As a tiny puppy she herded our Maremmas and it was a joy to see. The Maremmas attitude was “knock yourself out grasshopper” as they just walked on. It was great to catch a glimpse of you in the current series. I’m a dog photography and would love to get out west and photograph working dogs. Caught up with some mustering Kelpies at the Muswellbrook Cattle Dog muster last year and they were incredible. Keep up the good work and maybe our paths will cross one day.
