Brilliant Jan , I like doing the double basting stitch, it lays much flatter and nicer , but having said that it's quieter doing one for my dolls clothes 🤣xx

I like the white against the purple. It kinda makes the frilly patterns pop more.

The dresses are so simple and cute - perfect sun dresses! Matching stripes and patterns freaks me out though. In my OCD mind, everything has to line up even if it isn't visible. That's probably why I stick to solids. I love the tops too - especially (my favourite) the blue blouse with daisies! Such a clever and stylish upcycling insert design. Nobody would ever guess that the blouse was altered! Awesome job! I enjoy the sewing videos so much! You inspire me! Thanks Jan!

I love the mindless picking. I usually do it in the evenings while listening to podcasts. If I have nothing to unpick, I do all my hand stitching and embroidery instead.

What a pretty dress! I think I might use the extra fabric to make some short 'butterfly' sleeves

It feels so good to get a task done that you've been putting off. I like the red fabric.

Wow. You are definitely a dedicated professional sewer who is good to her friends! I've made countless cushion covers (with mix 'n match fabrics repurposed from other stuff) and completed several reupholstery projects in my RVs over the years. I always used the great and easy 'envelope' hack to sew covers. In my messy life, everything must be removable and washable! Mind you, I was sewing for myself/family...no pressure, no stress. Brava for volunteering your time and talent. The end result was fantastic! The chair looked so mid-century modern.

The redesign of the men's shirt is really, really cute! You did a fantastic job. For an upcycling project, the refashioned top is quite original and very summery and Boho. Can you 'refashion' (tailor) Duncan's jumper too? After all the work and time you put into knitting, it would be a shame to repurpose it. Great video - inspirational as usual!

Great idea, I love up-cycling where I can. You’ve inspired me to get out my old machine and actually learn how to sew, straight lines are my nemesis. Can’t wait to see the finished hare, already loving his ears 😍

Your new blouse is so cute! What a nice design and such a practical upcycle project. I'm glad you decided to remove the pocket. I love the Hare. I can't wait to see it stuffed and assembled. I made something similar a few years ago. To make him sit up properly, I made a 'hidden' stand that supported him from behind. It was constructed from fabric-covered, bendable, pipe cleaners. The little soap pouch is brilliant! Thanks for the idea!
