You feel me??? 😂 I figured out how to take off 5 potentiometers from a bass amp pcb but before that I pulled up two pads using a wick. I just wanna stick it back down, oh well. Imma tap them flat and then wick those two problematic ones and they might stick down. That worked! Between the heat and the thin layer of remaining solder, they flattened enough. Now I can wipe the pads down with alcohol to get the dirty looking flux off, and stick new pots on there! It’s a fender bass rumble 60 without overdrive or gain, the old model. I don’y really play bass, but I had it laying around and the wool cover they put on it was attracting too much dust and my cats clawing it. At some point I tried electronics cleaner from the top of the pot shaft but then the whole first layer of clear came off the face of the amp so I had to sand it down, and it’s all poly. Three of the potentiometers felt really sticky and weird inside so I ordered new ones. I think I figured out everything! Imma paint the amp and not even put corner protectors back on. Just gonna use some of that metallic paint people use to refurbish old furniture. It’s really nice though. Bought some in emerald green. Sanded all the contact cement off and got the particle board smooth for paint. The soldering stuff and the sanding the control face is really the worst of it.

While great, too much glue. Lego is about building with Lego. All the gluing and cutting, you could have used wood and it would be a similar video. Less colourful, but similar.

Impressive build, but I feel like this would be more comfortable to play with smooth panels on the outside instead of the brick pegs.

The gba sp also has a good amount of colors not mentioned like pearl green, starlight gold, rayquaza green, torchik orange, and quite a few more.

It's possible to use this same speaker mod on the normal NDS Lite?

For that pixel you can try "Stuck Pixel Fixer" it's a rom that flash the colors on the screen, it can sometimes fix those pixels, but be aware if you are susceptible to screen flashes

So I had the original 1996 Bop It toy and decide to play a quick game before going to bed it said twist it and I wasn't able to do it in time then I tried again and when I twisted it instead of it playing the sound effect it made weird distorted noises as if it was possessed by a demon now it doesn't work at all

thanks a lot! this gave me a lot of hope. i used a soldering iron with a too high temperature for a small PCB, which soldered off a copper ring on my Logitech G305 mouse. i wanted to change the mouse switches/buttons for silent ones. but hey, even if i end up having lost 35€ (~30-35$), at least i learned sth from it ..i guess. well, hopefully this video will prove useful :D

I've got a GBA SP board with the same issue and the VR1 (a 50k ohms trimpot as the data sheet shows) is stuck in 30k ohms. I will try to change it and see if solve the problem. Your vídeo helped a lot. Thanks.

How come it isn’t possible to just carefully clean the individual layers that are dirty/ water damaged, with an ultra fine microfiber cloth ? It looks like they might clean up, as they look like they are primarily made from plastic ???

Can you fix one with juice spilled on it?
