We are the Tapia Family and we are here to share our unique life with you. Our youngest daughter Emma was born with a rare genetic brain disorder called lissencephaly meaning smooth brain. Drs told us she wouldn’t live past her first bday. Emma will be 5 on March 20, 2020. She is thriving and working hard daily to keep pushing through. She is a very happy little girl who absolutely adores her big sister Ava who will be 9 in March 2020. Ava loves school and has a strong passion for dancing. We will show you how we have adjusted our lives after a devastating diagnosis and still live it to the fullest. Don’t get me wrong we find our “new normal” often but we push through. We want to give our girls the best life possible and help them create the best memories together. We hope to help spread awareness for lissencephaly and epilepsy both diagnosis that Emma battles daily, while also giving families hope who are dealing with similar diagnosis.
