100% Vinyl Jungle and DnB DJ Mix 2024
New mix is now up, have been offline for a while but for good reason...I've been working on a 'remix' of sorts for some time now... and very pleased to announce today is the day my daughter has been born! So, I thought there's no better way to celebrate this than with a fresh new mix. One that I dedicate to her. This mix comprises of a selection of tracks as far back as 1994 through to the present day. Something that showcases some of the history of the music I love from the Jungle & Drum & Bass world, a world I have spent a very long time within.
A special mention out to one of my favourite DJ's who recently passed, man like Randall. A DJ I've been inspired by since I first heard tapes of his live sets back in 1993/1994 & a DJ I've been fortunate enough to share a line up with. Those long mixes and blends, creating new tracks from the mixes themselves has always been something I've leaned into since hearing his skills on the turntables. A huge loss to our scene. RIP to one of the best.

nice mix!! and you know how it is so I've got to ask, would appreciate advice on what the shelving unit is.. it's hard to find one that will hold the vinyls and not get crushed under the weight but won't break the bank.. can it be ordered from anywhere? would really appreciate the info.. thanks..
@@CastleHassall Cheers man. Shelving unit is Ladderax which I got from both family members and ebay. Not the cheapest though. Should try Kallax units if you're looking for solid shelving that's pretty affordable. Can usually find cheap on Ebay/Marketplace too.
@@PeskyDJthanks so much for the advice.. been many years of the making do.. hugely appreciated..i need a reason to get my income back on track after being broken for a bit too long by life events so good shelves and my own place to put them in is a good motivator ironically I'm really good at troubleshooting/Blue sky thinking for other people and their businesses or projects/systems but not my own life but I'll hopefully have good news to report at some point! i hope you have a good one.. thanks for the mix, some really good tracks in there that I've not heard before which is really nice to hear.. Great it's vinyl you use too.. i haven't been able to have my decks out for years as I'm living out of bags and boxes when recovering from ptsd but hoping to get a place i can have them in once i figure out this income malarkey but thanks for the advice about the shelves, hopefully I'll get it all sorted one day, it's been a decade too long all this recovery from ptsd.. much wiser and been trying to help others get through it now i know good ways to make things better faster in tough times though so that's a blessing from it all, to be able to help people get through tough times faster if i can from what I've learned it's weird how satisfying it would be to get my own shelves put up in a place and be able to get my vinyl back i hope and get back on track with the mixing.. i feel like I'm missing out on being a player in the Jungle/D&B Renaissance by damage done before that meant i lost my house i owned etc.. oh well, hopefully it'll be a good chapter in my memoirs can't think of any puns about shelves.. dang nabbit.. erm...

Firstly, RIP Randall. Checked him inn 93 aged 17. Last saw him XOYO last month and a week before that on a Tuesday and Bailey's Intabeats night. He played to about 50 people but was so into it. That's how I'll remember him. Congrats on the additon to the family!!! Life changing stuff. Took my 11yr old to Fabio & Grooverider in Jan - she went straight to the front, knew all the words 🤣. When it finished at 2230 and I said, "did you enjoy your first rave?" she replied, "yeah what are we doing next week?" PROUD. And slightly worried 😂😂 We all went to a house music festival a few weeks back (don't ask). Norman Jay played Sunday evening. He started dropping some DnB classics. Pretty soon my daughter ran past me with her mates, "finally some good music" WOW. Good luck 😎
