Nobody really knows why all these things are going on at the current circa 2024. India is indeed growing, and it is becoming a player on the worlds stage. Getting there however is really the problem that many other countries face at the current time with western expansion. Everyone is trying to find a good work balance, but I fear there there is just to much going on right now to understand it all. Running from problems in The West is only going to bring them wherever you are, so its important to tackle them head on. Sure, things are indeed better in Asia, but time will only tell.

@andythenomad I think ''American exeptionalism'' has somewhat brainwashed millions of US citizens to think the US is the end all be all. There many places in Asia and Europe that have much better transport system, educational system, socio-economic environments that are more pleasent for oneself or family. US has a huge amount of poverty across the country , there is huge socio-economic disparity between the poor/lower working class and the middle class/upper class. Asians already pointed out in 90s that 21st century will be the Asian century. There are many books and academic journals that delve into these theme. So its clear that Asian nations have a clear goal of building wealth and being a fully developed nations in this century, many have already surpassed the West in many ways like ( Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and some regions in China). The West is aware of this and seeing the shift in power from the west to east.

@andythenomad Great video brother. I think the rise of Asia is not something we can analyse from a position where Asians have done it themselves out of nowhere. Many Asian countries were assisted by US foreign policy, FDI, trade agreements with US/West. Take for example nations like (Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Philippians, Singapore) have very well build economic and trade relationship with these nations. Japan and South Korea had huge geo-economic influence from the US and gained a lot of assistance from the US in terms of technology, IT, engineering, manufacturing, exacnge of expertise and knowledge etc. Korea and Japanese cultural drive of hard work, punctuality, structure have helped them to further develop. As well as maintain the industrious position they have in the Asian region. In terms of Africa, the US never had a relationship with them on the same level they have with Asia. If the US had close relationship in terms of (economics, trade, technology, manufacturing) to countries like let say Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Botswana they would be like (Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore today as well in their unique way). I do hope African nations do get to that level, China is great partner and hope the further development of BRICS and Africa own initiatives in areas of geo-economics and geopolitics can attain that development goals.

Part reason is US zoning regulation. You cant just put malls in the central business districts where there's a lot of people. Here you can build anywhere. Another reason is American's car culture, they dont like to walk. Malls here have foot traffic of at least 100k/day, big malls like MOA can double that number, there will never be enough car park for these malls unless you walk and commute. Most mallers here dont have their own car.

the downfall of American malls could only be blamed on one thing it's the preference for online shopping more than physically going to malls, I'm afraid to say the word lazy but that word strongly comes to mind. There is no question that America has a much stronger purchasing power but how they choose to purchase defines how sustainable malls will be. I'm a Filipino by the way and so my opinion on American consumer behavior is just based on what I see on social media

Watched for the thumbnail. Venice piazza mall is just beside our old office. Me and my coworkers call that bridge the Pabebe bridge 😆 and I agree, with the mall being the national past time here the designers have to at least give Pinoys something to go there for. However with malls providing all the creature comforts you could ask for, actual green breathing spaces like parks and nearby forests and rivers which could have been nurtured for local tourism are getting neglected
