Hello everyone and welcome to my TH-cam Channel! I am a London- based, international violinist, specialising in the performance of baroque music.
I am founder and host of 'The Classical Corner'- a podcast taking you behind the scenes of the classical music world today.
This channel is also home to 'Martini Melody', a series founded and hosted by myself and Agostino Perrone, the Head of Mixology at the Connaught Hotel in London. In this collection of episodes, we share our passions for classical music and cocktails whilst finding the relationship between each of these.

Allegro from Bach's E Major Sonata, BWV 1016
It is just a few days to go until my new album is out, so I thought I would share the 4th Movement from Bach's Sonata in E Major, BWV 1016.
This Allegro is peppy, upbeat and always makes me smile. Bach passes thematic material back and forth between the instruments and demonstrates his obligato technique through immitation and buoyant counterpoint, creating a true partnership between the instruments.
The complete album, "The Art of Obligato" will be launching on Friday 22nd November and we are are so excited to share it with you all 🎻

Brilliant! but it feels like a bit of a teaser... I want more of this, and more again. I think the full Sonata is around 15 minutes. Is the full sonata on Deezer? I hope so.

Wonderful piece of music and performance of it. Where was it performed? I recognise it but cannot place it.
I realised not long after the above post that it was recorded at St Annes and St Agnes Church in the City, where I used to go to lunchtime recitals and concerts before it was taken over by Voces 8 who, as far as I have been aware don't perform there very often. But happily a number of excellent recordings like this one have been made there.

I’ve only recently discovered Davina . Whilst driving home last weekend , I was totally enamoured by this bright , enthusiastic and dare I say , extremely intelligent voice coming from the radio consul in my car . It was also very “ educational “ and I learnt more regarding classical music in 1 hour than I could have , should I have went out searching …..a truly veritable Tinkerbell!
I would like to find the same sheet music you worked with on this. It’s lovely!

As a beginning violinist, this is my go to version of the Arioso by JS Bach for how I SHOULD sound as I am learning this piece. Found the sheet music in a music shop in Soho and had to learn it.
Not many copies of the CD left on Amazon. Sounds wonderful and I wish you every success with the album.
