Hi, my name is Stephanie and I run a studio called FUTURE LANDSCAPES Design + Visualization. I also teach design and representation to Masters of Landscape Architecture students, most recently at the University of British Columbia.
Visualization is an act of design. I believe that students have amazing ideas they want to express but don't yet have the visual skills to do so. My goal is to enable students to quickly develop their graphic & presentation skills so they can get their ideas out, learn to develop them, and then communicate them to others. I welcome suggestions and questions!

Hand sketched Linework Site Plan - Procreate
Need a quick plan to take with you to site but don't want to have the distraction of a google map? I demo how I make a quick trace overtop of important site elements to create a clean map sketch base that I can use on site to denote various elements when I don't yet have a scaled linework plan.
You can use procreate, morpholio trace, autodesk sketch or any other tablet drawing app that allows you to import images and draw overtop on layers. You can also print out an image and trace over manually using tracing/sketch paper.

Thanks, I like your work, Clean and concise, 1-page is a good suggestion. What size is your layout?
helpful, thanks a lot!
Thank you, your videos are a great help even if I'm not in landscape arch. I see how rhino can be used and utilized
Thank you so much for the tutorial. This really helps a lot! 😊
Thank you! leant so much from you!
Thank you so much you're amazing!!
Hello! I'm learning Rhino and part of our finals is to make a park with benches. I have the same idea of a bench that I want to do on my park. I'm so happy to have discovered your channel. Do you have a video prior this? What is the diameter of those circles? Thanks so much!
This method is not helping ,it generates plain face
Great!
Are you work with germans or are you self German, I ask because the Names of Data are in German.
where to download those silhouettes?
thank u
VERY helpful, thank you so much
Muito obrigado!!
Great tutorial
I can't find the snaps (end- near - etc. ) how can I turn them on (Rhino 8)? thanks !!!
thank you so much!! this is really helpful, and very easy to follow and straight to the point. I am totally new to Rhino, and I am hoping by the end of your courses to be pretty efficient with Rhino :)
I tried to import Rhino Model to Lumion but I can't select different materials on it, because Lumion considers my model like a single object. P.S. I set different colours for each material in Rhino but it's like Lumion doesn't recognize those.
Nice Tutorials please can you share the line works files to help practice
Hi teacher Stephanie i have a question about the rhino course, when i use the planar srf command to make a surface and then split it with my drawing lines it splits them properly but the edge of the surfaces looks jagged although my 2d drawing is perfectly smooth when i drew it in Autocad, is there a way to make their edges look smooth even tho they have been split with the same line?
Hello, it's likely a graphics display issue, the surface is not actually jagged. You can look up how to smooth your display in rhino and see if it helps!
cool
6:20 really useful!
Can you use splitting surfaces from curves with a patched surface that isnt planar? for example: my linework is going to go on top of existing topography - i was thinking of projecting my flat autocad linework onto the cad mapper topography. What do you recommend to do? have you ever dealt with this before
Hi Stephanie! I can't find the rhino script on PC. What to do now?
Great workflow explanation. only one tip - the ISOLATE command in Rhino hides all non-selected linework. Does exactly the same thing as inverting the selection and then hiding selected but in one step
Seems the download link is gone. Could you reshare?
Hello! Wonderful tutorials - I am also not seeing the files. Can the link be shared again? Thank you!
how to remove the edge on surfacee why i get like that
Hi! I am so sorry, can you update a link to project files in description, please? Its empty now 🥲 Description is empty i mean
Did you ever get the files? I need them too :/
@@celestinoarroyo2953no, i didn’t :(
Oh I could give you a hug for this
Hi! This is really helpful, Is it okay if can I have the files ?
Hi Stephanie. Quick tip for you to bring all lines to 0 Z elevation and quickly clean up your file there are 3 commands that will make your life easy and remove the need for you to paste to another file. First - "Flatten" (then select all) this will make all elements selected Z=0. Then use "OVERKILL" which will remove any lines of the same layer sitting on top of other lines. Again select all. Then "PURGE" all. Which will remove all the unused layers and other junk in the file. The problem with pasting into a clean file is that you will lose your coordinate system if one has been set by civil3D which is easy enough to do again but something you will lose. Working with proper coordinates in Rhino is problematic I have found it doesnt like dealing with large values and it can be better to move everything close to rhino local 0 and then move it back after you worked with it in Rhino (I use workflows where I push into Revit, and these coordinates and coordinate systems are really important between these softwares)
Thank you for a very useful video
Promo-SM ⭐
impacable video, simply wow is amazing how good a tutorial can be if the viewer is not taken as a amateur, just to the point not over explaining unnecessary thing, apreccieted
Is there a way to download just a .ccx file? Having some issues with creative cloud after reinstalling photoshop :(
What a beautifully explained workflow, Thanks!❤
Wow! What a nice channel! I'm dropping Sketchup for Rhino! You are amazing Stephanie!
Hi Stephanie, I'm glad I've found yout channel! I'd like to ask why can't I split the curves like you did at 9:34? I've gone over the steps again and again and I still can't seem to make it work
Thank you for these insanely helpful videos!
Can you tell me how you lost the grid points on the topographic surface we created?
You didnt show the loft command in here
Been using rhino for about 12 years and still watch viselike this refresh my brain or learn things
Hi Stephanie, it looks like the move project plugin is removed from the download website, I couldn't find it anywhere. I hope you can share a copy of the file somehow. Thank you for this useful playlist!
Loved it!
Thanks Stephanie! Very concise and simple to understand <3
I'm guessing the PNG files have been removed?
The download link for the plugin is posted in the description!
You have a nice, calming voice. Thanks for sharing!
Ha, I've never been told that about my voice - thanks!
After being more than 10 years without modelling and now having to catch up with Rhino and GH ideally, this was the best first tutorial I watched. Thanks a lot for it!
That's super nice to hear, thank you :)
amazing tutorial, but i need your help ,i try to download the refs. file but I can't ,I only download the NYBG file.
The download link including the refs still works for me so I'm not sure why it doesn't for you. Everything is still active - try again!
