sounds like the charging port connector isn't fully seated correctly on the motherboard. it's actually a very easy phone to open then just unseat the connector, make sure there is no dirt or debris around the connector. you can use some canned air duster then properly reseat the connector. also while your in there do the same with the battery connector which will be right next to it. This will likely solve your issue permanently so you don't have to beat up your phone anymore and risk damaging it.
this sounds like a more permanent solution compared to what I did
After quite some time of pecking into my phone, still gave me nothing. This method does seem to work for some. Appreciate it man.

Absolutely fantastic job! Only thing I'd recommend is playing with a metronome more to make your timing more consistent.
Completely agree! I rushed this recording and performance. It was a busy time of my life. Of course the best performances are always when no cameras / audio devices are running ;)

No offense or anything but you couldn't find the engine crank location? It's in the same spot on my 2001. What website did you use? Also protip but the crank is pretty much always on the front of the engine (front of the engine is where the pulleys/timing cover are BTW...different from what isvthe the front of the car)
Hey dude, no problem thanks for the comment! I'm not a mechanic, this is my first car, kept it forever and I haven't seen an engine crank before. I just work on cars when I need to, when it makes financial sense to make the repair myself. They wanted $1800 to check on and fix this tensioner leak, when all it needed was a re-seal, so I did it myself. In order to do the repair, I needed to find the engine crank. Since this is such a problem on this [very] popular car, I figured someone else would eventually also be a car noob and find themselves wondering where or what the engine crank is, so I made this vid showing exactly what to look for on this car. For a lot of car maintenance / repairs, you don't need to use the engine crank at all, so you can perform lots of repairs without ever learning where the crank really is Thanks for your comment though and I definitely see where you're coming from!

These two iPhone models are very similar. I'm not claiming it works 100% on any device, just showing how it worked for me in my case. In a situation where I had no hope left :)
