Love this interview. So many memories of Glenn and Cuonzo playing ball when I went to Purdue! I am slightly older than Glenn Robinson by 6 months! :) I remember one of my classmates saying he played Glenn at the Co-Rec. He was stunned and said Gleen was off the charts awesome! Wondering what he was doing playing with other students at the Co-Rec..but that is the sort of dude Glenn is! Funny how politically correct Glenn is about Coach Knight. I hate to say it but Knight was an abuser and though he may have accomplished a lot for Indiana, his methods of using fear and intimidation are things that would have unfortunately harmed a lot of players and their mental state of mind. He has been honored for his achievements at IU, but I'm sure players under his leadership, would have some less than pleasant memories to this day. Here is an excellent article showcasing his abuse. This guy crucifies him in this article because he grew up watching Knight abuse his players! nymag.com/intelligencer/2023/11/bob-knight-was-a-misogynistic-bully.html. Contrast that with Matt Painter! The Zen Coach of Basketball :)

Such a joy to hear you guys talk about your time at Purdue and all your life experiences. Been following you since your college days where I literally followed the team all the way to Lexington and then the Elite Eight in Knoxville. I'm also old enough to remember the team at the 1980 Final Four when I was in college. Ever faithful! Congratulations to both of you on your successful careers on and off the basketball court!

Thanks to both of you for this. Glenn signed a ball for me in Bloomington at the hotel the team was staying in. He came off the bus he already boarded. Such a class act,and undeserving of media criticism. Also obviously not dumb! BTW that ball was ruined at my mom’s house while spending winter in Arizona. She had a water leak, and humidity made it flake. I’d love to get a new one signed by both. Can this happen Cuonzo?
