Hey, yes that's true, the hi hat isn't the best but so far it still works. Sometimes there are a few problems when opening and closing, because when you open and close it, it doesn't pick up any signals but only in this middle position, so when the hi hat is between open and closed. But that doesn't bother me that much, if necessary you can buy another hi hat, that's no problem.

I am using it for 1 Year right now. And the problem with the hi hat is not every time but sometimes it dosen't trigger if I hit it while opening and closing.

In my Opinion its a really good kit specialy gor that price. The Triggers on the kit are very good ylu have a good feeling with the mesh heads, personally I dont like the Cymbals thet much becouse its not the same like on a acoustic kit wothe real Cymbals. Specialy the Crash Cymbals are not that big, only 14" but the Hihat is good with 14" and the ride with 18" is good too. But for that price of 1000$ its not bad. The sounds on the kit are okay they Sound like ob ever e drum kit they aren't very special or ver, good but its okay. I use most of the time my DAW Ableton Live with Drum Plugins like Addictive Drums 2 for a nice Sound. By the way I really highly recommend Addictive Drums 2 its a very good plugin. But back to the kit: I would say its a good drum kit in that price range. And the aclustic Look looks very cool and I love it too have tow floor toms, they are 14 an 16 inch. So yeh I recommend the kit for 1000$ you dont will get something better Specially a drum kit with acoustic looking drums are most really expensive from Companys like Rolland, EfNote oder Drum Tec. Thanks dude. I love that guitar so much. It's from the SE series, it was a limeted Edition from Thomann becouse they have 70th Anniversary. And they got this beautiful guitar from PRS, built only for that Anniversary. I love it.
