a bobcat.
I apologize for the abysmal quality, but this was one of those rare times I didn't take my camera. All I had with me was my crappy old iPhone 8, which is terrible at recording images and video. Regardless... it was only by the grace of God that I came across this sweet little kitty, and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to spend some quality time with this beautiful wild cat in Carburn Park.

What a wonderful present to receive on Christmas morning... a Pileated Woodpecker back in Carburn Park. beautiful Coyotes
มุมมอง 1202 ปีที่แล้ว
Here's a majestic pair just trying to make a go of it in Carburn Park. I have a special place in my heart for coyotes, these poor creatures are villainized and are constantly harassed & maligned. I wish people recognized their beauty and realized their value to an ecosystem. Anyway, I thank God for the opportunity to get so close to these exquisite creatures. silly Blue Jays poking around
มุมมอง 472 ปีที่แล้ว
A lot of folks don't care for Jays because I suspect familiarity breeds contempt. But Blue-Jays are rare visitors to Carburn Park and I savor their brief visits to our area. Today they are on the hunt for food; some of it gets consumed immediately, but the rest must be meticulously hidden from the rest of the team. I think it'd be hilarious to one day do a video featuring Blue-Jays vs Baltimore...
white Swans on a grey day
มุมมอง 622 ปีที่แล้ว
This particular morning was dark and dreary, so at this time of year the Trumpeter swans are a welcome sight on the Bow River. Sometimes 1 or 2 will hang out among the Canada geese, other times a dozen or more. There's even been a rare occasion when swans and white pelicans have shared the shame stretch of river at the same time, but for now as we patiently await the arrival of spring we must b...

Lazy days of summer
มุมมอง 802 ปีที่แล้ว
It's a beautiful summer day in Carburn Park and everyone is just trying to relax, stay cool, and soak up some sun. An eagle views her domain before taking flight. A young cormorant looks around before returning to the deep. A beaver's way of relaxing is doing more work, and that work never seems to end. A blue heron pauses to do some preening; you've always got to be looking your best! A mink d...
Mom & Baby Raccoon posing

The little mamma raccoon is always ready and willing to pose for photos, but of course the little one needs a bit of coaxing. Sometimes it takes patience working here in God's portrait studio. Wow! Fantastic! Yes I'm jealous, lol. I still haven't seen them even though we have them in my area. I missed seeing 2 of them walk past my house a few months back (by about 1/2 an hour (gutted)). You got some great footage there, the best camera really is the one you have with you! This one is sooo pretty 🥰 Welcome back btw, hope all's well. I've missed your park life videos 😀

So good to hear from you, Dee! Yeah, I don't get out to the park as often as I used to. But I was very fortunate to see this kitty and I'm positive your opportunity will come as well! I still watch your videos on TH-cam on our big TV, but unfortunately you can't comment without a keyboard! I'm continually jealous of your stuff and encourage you to keep on keeping on. All the best.

I hope you get more opportunities to get out there. I haven’t been there in years. That’s so nice to hear, thank you. You know I keep considering doing a remake of our Shaw video for my channel. I need to figure out how to license the same music, it was so perfect for my footage.
