    Some items might be for them to purchase with the completion discount if they decide after birth that they need/want them. That's a lot of my thinking with my registry (which is private bc 3rd baby, no shower).

      I'm so sorry you didn't enjoy my video. My opinion does not matter. New moms can purchase whatever they would like of course! Just trying to give advice to new moms who are looking for it. As I said in the video take it or leave it and do what is right for your home, your budget, and your lifestyle.

    For us, our registry is missing some major items because I have sisters that have had kids and are passing thise items on to me. It may be the mom is getting a free breast pump through insurance as well. I always enjoy these as it hekos me feel like I am mentally abke to doubke check I have all the things we will need for the baby when they arrive. 😅

    As a soon-to-be a first time mom, this was super helpful. We're trying to get everything second-hand and as cheap and sustainable as possible and, quite frankly, living in a studio helps with that 😅. I've also always found that these are more "luxury" products which seem more like an add-on rather than needed, especially since we don't know if baby will enjoy it or not. At least we live in a world in wish if we think baby needs something, we can go out and buy it the same day. For now, baby will be well entertained by me cooking and cleaning : )

    • @momwifeandeverydaylife
      @momwifeandeverydaylife 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Love This! Exactly what I am about :) The baby industry is crazy! Of course, there are products I enjoyed and do recommend, but there are a lot that I can't get behind. You sound like you are being very thoughtful in your baby purchases. Thank you for your comment and please check out more videos that you may find helpful in preparing for baby. And lastly good luck to you and wishing you a smooth delivery!

    • @NebulaBull
      @NebulaBull 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Spreading a nice sheet or blanket on the floor and reading or just taking a moment to relax, swings and bouncy seats can be helpful if your sanity demands it but babies are expensive so id recommend focusing on the must haves such as diapers, cloth or disposable or both, a car seat/ infant carrier, a stroller or a sling pouch but both are not must haves depends on what works for you.

    • @momwifeandeverydaylife
      @momwifeandeverydaylife 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, all those swing and seats are options and of course can be helpful. For those who have unlimited budgets and desire to own them, go for it! For those that are on tight budgets, hold back and really consider if you need the item. Also, you can always change your mind! Go the first month without and then decide if you really could use an extra place for baby to spend time. Love the advice!

    Can you explain what your simple bedtime routine is?

    • @momwifeandeverydaylife
      @momwifeandeverydaylife 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Jammies/diaper, vitamin, brush teeth, potty for the toddler, quick drink of water, then in bedrooms. Dad with one kid & mom with the other, alternating nights. Read a little and in bed. Our kids know the routine and we can quickly bust it out. This typically starts at 7:45 and in bed by 8/8:05. I consider that pretty good considering some parents act like bedtime takes an hour. We really like routine in our house and it serves us well 😊

    This is before cell phones and online reviews. I worked for the primary sexual assault counseling program in a large Texas county. Because of that I told my babysitter I don’t know you well, trust you and IT’S NOT PERSONAL. I may drop off my daughter and show up in1 minute, 1 hour, at lunchtime or not at all. Please remember it’s NOT PERSONAL. I told that same thing to every daycare worker, parent, teacher or person responsible for my daughter when I couldn’t be. I never once got any pushback or shock. Maybe I was lucky or just untrusting. I don’t know or honestly care. I’m in my ‘60’s now and take an 8 yo to school. I treat his care the same way. I text his mom the minute I drop him off, communicate anything I think she may worry about or want to know so she can have the same peace of mind I did. Plus I obviously told her to a background check on me. 😂 I’ve worked for the federal government and been fingerprinted by the FBI several times so that helps too. Great advice. ❤🙌

      Thank you! You have a great perspective on it. No daycare is perfect and not all these warning signs are going to be 100% spot on, but they are things to think about and watch for, even question. Anything that can help keep our children safe!
