I have 2 HO scale CP SD70ACU 7021 and 7022 both Athearn Genesis with sound
This Happens When I Was 27 Years Old (06/08/1993) 🇺🇸.
Love the sounds on these trains. I call these AC4400's "Tugs"
No horns, no bells no BS---just bad ass GEVO prime movers doing their thing! Make more of these vids!
Great video !, i just noticed the last locomotive 9769 was an ex Holiday Train Locomotive. I heard they used the Ac44s back in the day, great video as always.
Qué gran combinación de motores entre la SD70ACU y la ES44AC 🤙
MORE, MORE PLEASE AND 5 TO 10 HOURS WORTH, Thank you
This was amazing to learn from! I am a student at CU Boulder in the lighting program and I found this very useful. Thanks :)
Thank you! I am happy that my video has reached at least 1 professional / future professional, there is a huge opportunity within lighting fields to lead the charge on responsible lighting.
Easy fix; adjust them or make filters for them. If you put yellow red orange filters over the blue white color the brightness will be offset but thats illegal
That's insane, I've never heard it from so far behind the head to know there's almost like a sonic boom as the slack is taken out. Wild!
I can imagine feeling the ground shake as they throttle up
love this chugging sound i love
I did not know that the ES44AC had the whooping air compressor. I thought it was solely the Dash-9’s calling card.
The sound of those GE’s notching up gets me every time, nothing can compare! Thanks for sharing!👍🏾👌🏾
Nice video
lost is a delicious sound
this is music
great quality video awesome video love the chugging sound of this locomotives
Can this be heard 5 miles away on a quiet night? I sometimes hear big, jump-scare booms 💥 at night and there isn't a single thing going on outside. There's no other explanation but someone suggested the rail yard nearby
0:42
Love those old 4 bangers
ge fans rejoice
You can hear the dynamic braking in this one
I Love that opening scene with CP 8630 going thru the snow drift and lighting up the snow fall, very cool. Like your channel alot .
Good question why are they legal? In the name of public safety ban these lights. NOISE POLLUTION BAD, BLINDING LIGHTS GOOD WTF?
Fun fact: The "Empress" is the nickname for the Canadian Pacific class "H1b" 4-6-4 Hudson-type steam locomotive #2816.
A mix of fog and lights. Whoa, looks mysterious!
¿Podrías hacer un video comparando la SD70ACE y la ES44AC?
VERY COOL VIDEO , THANKS FOR SHARING .
I stopped doing night photography when the lighting went to LED-it totally ruined the scenery with its harsh glare. LEDs have their uses as good task lighting but for accent lighting it’s on par with willie-pete.
I'm in the same boat, many places I used to enjoy being at night have been ruined. Most of the photography I do now is documenting the last sodium lights in service around my city.
7FDL16 ASMR soon?
Those FDL-12's on the EVO's literally shake the infrastructure pulling steel on the local .. cool.
@7:03 what is that sound? Almost like an industrial AC motor starting up like those star/delta vids.
Engine-driven air compressor starts, if the locomotive is in neutral the engine will speed up to increase the air compressor's speed.
Seeing these and the UP’s version with the AC6044’s makes me wish we could have just one more time with them both at 6,000 hp 😂
The sound you get is amazing. There’s a spot on the original Soo Line west of Minneapolis you would enjoy. Westbounds fight uphill to New Hope where the tough little short grade tops out amidst block-walled commercial buildings 100 feet from the centerline of the right-of-way. Soo Line was always stingy with power on trains of empties, which most westbounds were, so it was a diesel wall of sound bouncing between those buildings as locomotives crawled their way up the hill. It wouldn’t have been so bad if they could have gotten a little run for the hill but there were houses nearby that prevented that. I now live about six miles south of that hill and on cold winter nights it’s very easy to hear trains battling that grade out of Minneapolis.
Sounds like a great spot indeed, brick buildings and rock walls are like concert halls for diesels, sounds like a place I'll have to visit in the future. I would have loved to see that spot, or my spot here for that matter, during the days of 645 turbos running the mainline and the SOO line still running. Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching!
Cool to see Caterpillar machines at work nearby! Interesting to see trains and other machines at work during very cold weather. Nice footage!
Thanks for watching! I might upload the full footage of the snow clearing work, there some old Ford trucks hauling it away.
@@EdmontonRails You're welcome. I'd be curious about how that turned out, so keep up the excellent work!
Are the trains super super long or is it because there’s a grade there . Why there workin so hard
Trains make multiple back-and-forth moves to assemble their full consist here, often throttling up from a stand still with pressure to clear a busy crossing. Lambton Park Yard is only ~30 cars long so it usually takes at least 3 moves to make a train. They are also 100% fully loaded with refinery and forest products. Thanks for watching!
Oh that makes a lot of sense . I love the vids 👍
Very cool! Out of curiosity, when was this railroad footage recorded? This video was uploaded in the summer of the Northern Hemisphere, so I am just wondering because there is lots of snow in it.
Hi CEO100! This video was recorded during the winter of 2021/2022. Thanks for watching as always!
Damaging eyes
I really wish the UK Class 60's had the GE 7FDL16 fitted into them but the Mirrlees Blackstone MB275T sounds close to the AC4400CW/C44-9W's though.
2200K LEDs and lower to about 2000K should be used for our streetlights. These white LEDs are just to damn bright. I suffer from migraines from these damn things
F__K LED HEADLIGHTS!!!!!
Lovely!
Nice unit
was just at that spot last night and saw the daily oilcan-southbound heading out of town.
It's a great spot for sure to catch train assemblies, thanks for watching!
You have the best locomotives SOUND videos, thank you!
Thank you for watching, happy that you like the videos!
Hey there, Edmonton Rails! Glad to see you back! How have you been lately? I always like footage of Canadian Pacific units at work, so nice job on this video! It's another great set of footage that shows what goes on with freight consist assembly. Looking forward to seeing more of those soon!
Hey CEO100, it's great having someone that consistently enjoys the channel, so thank you! I've been good, just too lazy to edit videos this year lol. I still have a long line of raw videos, so there will be more for years to come. Thanks again for watching!

Happy Canada Day 2024 to you and your family, Edmonton Rails! I hope you all have been having a great time today. I am also looking forward to seeing more Canadian train footage on your channel very soon, so keep up the excellent work!
