Ive been liking these videos. Is there anywhere else to watch velodrome individual sprints when the olympics arent on? Ive been trying to get into watching the sport

I never heard an actual explanation as to WHY this track was built to the short (166 meters), old school, Euro 6 day track length, and not to the current, modern UCI 250 meter standard. ??? Was there just not enough room on the land available?? If they wanted to use this for beginners' programs, developmental programs, and to try and get more youth into the sport, a wall steep banked, shorter than it needs to be wooden bowl is kind of detrimental to that cause. 😉 (Even a +/- 45* banked 250 track is hard enough for beginners to start out on as it is.)
