SkyLift Roof Riser Hardware System
มุมมอง 109K12 ปีที่แล้ว
SkyLift roof riser hardware is designed and engineered to support an elevated wood framed patio roof cover. These brackets come in a variety of sizes to accommodate every design and pitch requirement. Visit our webstore at: store.skylifthardware.com/ to learn more about sizes and availability.
How is the void space filled in between the roof and the bottom of the cover?
Does any one know if you can weld a metal beam to these saddles.
Shitty roof material
Im trying to do a closed patio, so is there something to close the gap left?
How do you attach the 12x12 cutout ?
That is raised wayyyy too high off the roof to block rain. My aluminum patio cover is only about 2 inches off the roof and I still get terrible rain spatter all over my patio.
Don't these need to align with a stud in the wall?
High Winds .... May Make A Wing Out Of The Roof?
Pp
Do you you locate wall plate?
Thats the fucked up way
why?
I used them and for the cost of these (2-$400 with all needed supplies) and additional labor ($300) seriously consider adding a post n beam near the house. Not to mention good luck finding a lumber yard that stocks them.
Great product that solves numerous issues. Also, thanks for recommending #TheUltimatePipeFlashing from www.LifetimeTool.com
Does it come with all the hardware
How much total cost? It's take.
This design would be great for a contemporary, but I'm not sure it would be right with my old country style house.
Can you please let us know if this can be built on an elevated deck. My deck is on the 2nd story of our house. Also, how do you attach the actual roof cover. That part was completely skipped over. What material is it and have you ever done a fly over roof with tin?
These look great. how many lift would you need for a 36' span...
Did you ever figure this out? I'm trying to install on a 30 foot span
A paddy o
I think its just dum
Wouldn't it be easier just to add two longer poles instead of making holes in the roof? Also, how can this construction withstand strong winds or snow weight?
To more posts would be right next to the home and be an obstruction. The load is bearing on the wall of the home, just like the roof over it.
Has anyone had problems with strong winds?
Does the skylift come with the 2 inch rain guard cover or is that an extra expense???
Pipe flashing and SDS screws are extra
What keeps the rain out? Any rain hitting the roof is going to come through the open area between the roof and the patio cover. The gutters (if you have them) will divert some but not all of the rain water. I live in Florida and sometimes it rains like a monsoon is hitting the area. It would better to build a proper patio cover which starts under the overhang of the house and has the proper slant for rainwater.
If its raining sideways or that hard your not going to stay dry in any patio. It will be coming in sideways and or splashing up from the ground. I'm up in the North East and choose this system because it allows me to avoid a low pitch issue when attaching to a single level ranch. Without going to the peak I was hard pressed to get 2.5/12 pitch on a patio roof. This allows me to use the 36" lifts and have that 3.5/12 pitch without worrying about the creation of a ice dam or potential low pitch roof issue. This system also allows me to do the entire job myself on my own timeline and have the roof weather tight in a few hours. With this system there will be a draft that helps keep things cooler in the summer. I plan on screening mine in and have plans to add a screen to the raised portion just prior to the gutter. The website also points out additional benefits over traditional attachment methods.
@@dngendron did you end up doing this work? i'm looking at this for a similar problem, also in the N.E.
Jim Basilio yes I’m in Connecticut
@@dngendron Please show that project!
They charge $150 each for these mounts. I can fab them for $20 each. RIPOFF !
Then do it and quit bitching about it.
So could I but I still went ahead and purchased them anyway. Doug the owner is extremely helpful and invented the product and did all the leg work. I don't know about you but as a fabricator myself factoring in your time there's no way these are getting built for $20 each. Maybe material breakdown after purchasing full lengths of stock. There's also something of value to be able to just print out the information off his web site along with testing results and just walk it all in to the building department and leave with a permit in hand without having to hire an engineer. I'll gladly pay the man for his invention.
I'll pay you 40 if you are open for business
A simpler design would work too. I'd never seen these before, ingenuity in action.
Can I order two from you for $25 each?
What is the green roofing tool you are using?

@@btam13 Thanks for the link. Can't believe they want $32 for that thing.
@@weaponizedmemes3461 if cheaper if u buy a whole new pack of shingles and some left over cash and half pack of shingles
that is neat. can't say I've seen that before
Cool
This is awesome... Can I use this to roof my second level deck?
Sam Call me..give me an email to contact you?
The Skylift is genius!!!
Why are they $150 each? I need 4, pretty sure I can make all 4 for less than $150.
Thank you for the great Idea. This is just what I was looking for. But for $150 each Ill be building them myself.
