I bought the tablet and squiggly lines still exist. It's unable to draw a straight line.

Gacha Potter there are a lot of intuos and wacom and apple tablets out there! It really depends on your budget and the type of work you will be doing. I learned to draw on paper, and make the transition to digital. I had an old bamboo tablet for years that was ok for starting and learning digital drawing. It’s really up to you and your budget. I haven’t used the wacom one, but that’s being marketing more towards beginners.

Elly Michi no it needs to be used with a computer because it’s essentially a display not a full computer. There are however expensive models that are also a tablet/computer in one. But still not a phone capable device.

I imagine they’ll have a new one within a few years. I also imagine this thing is still top of the line. Wacom kind of has a monopoly.

Bt Paulie has to be plugged in! Depends on your setup, but I have one USBC to my mac, and one to power.

@@kathleendarby3 thanks for the response, I have type c on my computer, I'm wondering if im sitting in a coffee shop, does the Wacom need to be continuously plugged into the wall or will it run for a while of my PC, I'm so confused about the setup. Great unboxing in gonna be like you when mine comes,

@@kathleendarby3 yeah. I'm excited. Been using wacom products for ... uh... near 30 years now but the parallax always annoyed me on the older models - but now is the time for me to go cintiq. I live in Thailand so i sometimes like to go chill / work at resorts near the beach. I think i will fall in love with my new cintiqs hehe. Worth to note for the 32" model - you will need to add extra (a lot extra. i think about 500 us$) for a stand or a good strong flexible arm for it. It only comes with the small fold out legs and that will not work for a large screen like that IMO. Regarding the wacom "engine" (the computer you can add), i'm not a fan. Intel i5HQ processor, 16GB RAM and 256GB storage for $2,499 ... Auch. and Intel XEON processor with 32GB RAM and 512GB storage for $3,299. Damn. Remember, just for the engine. No screen attached yet. THAT is expensive. Save money AND get a stranger computer by buying a powerful PC. Just put a bit more money towards a nicer case if design is your worry. (PS - why XEON in the top model? Why not an i9? Cheaper and faster) Cintiq will always only be a stylus display for me. Nothing else.

happyfarang yeah I looked at their computer models and came to the same conclusion, I’d rather have the cintiq + my computer (MacBook Pro). Although the all in one wacom has a cool 3D scanning feature. Maybe more flashy than useful? And I’m not a 3D artist yet, and like my Mac more than Windows PCs.

@@kathleendarby3 I do a lot of 3D work :) but 3D photo scanning is nothing new. You can most likely get better results with a normal DSLR camera or even your cell phone and some good 3d scanning software. Besides, the camera is only on the mobile studio pros. It wouldn't be much use on a big heavy 32" cintiq :) I am a PC guy and i like PC better than engine. hehe.

L terry yes it is it’s not to be taken lightly. However shortly after I got mine I got an art contract that paid for it. Things have a funny way of working out sometimes.

Edie Bluntzer it has plugs yes. Mostly used for the clip on light. Did yours have the same green color??

Abhinav Aggarwal the wacom works well on both Mac and pc as long as your computer is powerful enough to run it. But no you can’t carry the cintiq Pro around independently. It needs a computer to function because it’s not a computer, it’s like a high res monitor you can draw on.

Jagdish Padghane yes and it’s even much more efficient now with me new MacBook 2019 with USBC. Only one cable into the computer now instead of 2!

I’d say enjoy your larger cintiq :) but they do have a 13inch of the cintiq Pro that I have (mines 16). Theres also a newer cheaper tablet they just released!

Thanks for your reply ☺ i really enjoy using the Cintiq, wish i bought it a long time ago but the 4k models were worth waiting for, not much difference in price too! I'm just worried about it breaking if i carry it around a lot 😂 prefer to work from home

Jimmy The Wacom Tablet it´s a great device to work with Photoshop, but CS 5 (CS Versions in general) is not supported by the driver and you will experience problems with the application. We recommend to use CC versions and the latest driver of Wacom Work. I look forward for your email. Thank you for choosing Wacom David Customer Support Team WACOM"
