I can confirm the TOGA was not due to crosswind. The gears stay up on the aircraft if its due to crosswind (aka windshear), otherwise its for a different reason if the gears go up straight away

Its crazy seeing the destination of the plane. You never can tell when youre on the ground

Could you imagine this say in 1970! No sleeping for anybody. 707s,DC8s,VC10s and first gen 747s. That would have been awesome!
