Little tip for you: if and when you return to Athens, you must visit the Lake in the neighbourhood of Vouliagmeni. It's called 'Lake Vouliagmeni' and is quite a special place. Also, has some some nearby restaurants & bars that are worth visiting. Then get your self in a taxi or train and head to the other side of the Athenian suburbs up in the north. Visit Kifissia - a posh suburb just north of the city centre. Very sexy, suave and elegant.

I had a choice when flying to South Africa from the U.S. with a connecting flight in either Addis Ababa with Ethiopian or via Doha with Qatar. Qatar was the obvious choice, making Ethiopian look like economy in comparison.

The war wouldn't have ended differently if it had coverage of modern internet etc.. It was still fairly well covered by media back in the day, and even celebrities in the west used their position to enlighten the public what was going on. Still, they let the genocide happen. And I mean, same can be seen today where we have the invaded Ukraina getting all support from the west, while genocide going on against Palestinians is entirely ignored (in more extreme cases openly supported and encouraged). We are living in a complex world of cultural racism, islamophobia and most complex (not rarely totally bizarre) geopolitical coalitions and interests.

One more thing can be added regarding Sarajevo City Hall. While its design and architecture features a lot of influence from different Islamic cultures, the building was constructed by Austro-Hungarians.

to be honest you had a great local guide he took you to the local spots not the tourist spots. Addis is an amazing city but you need a local to get the full taste

In Sarajevo, you eat well and drink well, there are always too many calories! How to spend them? You can enjoy sports, walking or going to the mountains and, of course, sex. You chose to go to the Yellow Fortress, and it's a way to burn off those extra calories. Great choice! 😁👍 And "Avlija" means courtyard, your backyard, a place where you enjoy yourself. In relation to the Euro (€), approximately 2 KM for 1 € (1.96 KM=1 €). And the fact that Bosnians don't like hustle and bustle and that stress kills, we call it ćejf (cheyf). You enjoy every free moment in life, you drink coffee for half an hour, you enjoy eating and drinking, you relax your soul in nature...Thank you for the wonderful videos and I wish you a lot of enjoyment in my country, Bosnia and Herzegovina...

Another great video. I subbed to your channel after I saw 4 in a row :) 7:14 Unfortunately, Bosnians do smoke a lot :( and in public too.. As a non-smoker I hate that fact. I really hope it becomes less prevalent in the future but yeah... it's one of those things that anyone who prefers normal fresh air simply can't accept.

To answer your question, the war in Bosnia was well reported and documented on the mainstream media back in the 90s, but unfortunately, because majority of Bosnians were Muslims, the West didn't care to help us for 3 full years. We were even embargoed by the EU so we didn't have weapons to defend. Only a few countries helped us get defensive weapons, namely Iran, Pakistan and Malaysia. In the end, NATO intervened in 1995 after the Srebrenica genocide happened. NATO held a bombing campaign of some of the military positions of Serbs who were occupying Sarajevo, which helped break the siege of the city. This was also mainly thanks to the USA. If social media had existed back then, it wouldn't have changed much, because still at the end of the day, Muslims in Europe were a thorn in their eye for centuries. Bosniaks, one of the few White Muslim nations in the world are an antithesis to the polar division of "East" and "West", and as such, we were condemned by many. It is interesting how despite all the odds we still managed to preserve our country and our nation.
