What’s wrong with BR condition?

@@greatwesternproductions2857it’s far to common in Preservation as basically every Grouping steam locomotive is in a BR livery.. I’m fine with the locomotives that were built from 1948 as well as the uncommon BR liveries such as BR Lined Express Blue & BR Maroon but BR Green and BR Black is everywhere. There clearly is a lack of imagination with railway societies as they always repaint their locomotives in either BR Green or BR Black. Out of the 18 preserved Black 5s, 3 are in LMS livery. I would like to see more grouping steam locomotives be painted back into a pre-BR livery. When 34027 was repainted Lilac for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, I was one of the few people in favour of it and when she was in SR Black, I liked her in that livery.. The NRM this time 2 years ago said that 60103 wasn’t going to be repainted into LNER Apple Green for her Centenary because she never wore it when she was in A3 condition even though she did 20 years ago.. lack of imagination TBH I could go on but I won’t. I don’t care what livery is painted on a steam locomotive as long as it isn’t BR Black or BR Green but then again, it would be funny to see a Black 5 back in BR Green

@ Lack of imagination? Rubbish. I may be wrong but in order to do a pre-grouping livery on something that requires hand painting. BR crests are transfers I believe so, in the absence of the dying art of sign writing, it does make sense. Plus it all comes down expense. Not to mention the fact that most coaches in preservation are mark ones so maybe it does make sense. Any points I may be wrong on, please do correct me.
