If you’re needing to replace the pan itself, and you don’t have a way/want to pull the engine, you can also pull the crossmember and drop the axel (depending on model) getting enough clearance to pull the pan. Just King Adrian has a video showing the full process. He has a 4wd, but discusses both (there are fewer steps for 2wd, so it’s complete for either). He’s just replacing the gasket in his video as well, but he pulls the pan, so it works for both.

Hey, my car just shit the bed, believe it’s a bad oil pump that may have screwed my main bearings or maybe worse. I’ll be getting a new car, I just really want to try to see if I can fix it/ wanna start working on and understanding cars. Im really wondering what tools I would need/ if I needed to take the engine out. I have very minimal tools currently. Appreciate it if you’re around.
