the protection of faded dreams
I feel as if life, again, is leaving me
time slipped through my hands
like grains of sand into obscurity
pain manifests itself,
it's killing me
I once gazed from the tower, the light
a sanctuary among the skies
silence fell as dusk and fog would collide
but the feeling was different this time
I knew this was the end
nothing would be the same ever again
I became drained, as my vision began to change
all that remained was the memories of pain
