Is The Chip On Your Shoulder Helping Or Hurting Your Performance? | Emotional Fortitude Podcast #35
Stoicism isn’t not feeling no emotions; it’s being alright with these feelings and accepting it without feeling the need to change it because what happens had to happen and that’s okay. Feeling pain is logical when loosing someone and very well all right within stoicism, it’s not okay to keep yourself in the pain for longer than necessary
Thank you for having me on Itamar - great to share with you and thanks for your programs!
Pleasure having you on the podcast and in the program brother! Been great to see you go.
Love the matching polos boys!
But Trump was the least warmongering President we have had since the 90s at least. He's hardwired to make deals and negotiate. He kept us our of Iran and Syria, he didnt fall for the false flags. He got us out of Afghanistan (although the actual pull out was later) He kept Russia and China at bay, He was making inroads with the Koreas. He is the opposite of a war president of chaos. He likes to put on a show, but he is quite a controlled person when other lives are at stake.
Great points. Like I said, I'm not really interested in politics and aware of his politics and what he accomplished.
About this the
There are some interesting points here about the Secret Service and how things might have happened and how they should have happened, but I don’t think this guy knows much about Trump himself and his comments are irrelevant in that regard.
As mentioned at the start, I don't know that much about Trump. It's why I made an effort to speak on a principle level of how certain attributes can cause certain outcomes, but didn't say "This shows that Trump will do X in the future." Hope it was helpful aside from that.
If I was his security detail I would work with Him really hard on that the Valor/Reckless, to think through when are you going to take risk, what are the advantages and consequences of that risk. If you are pres and shot what are the consequences. Trump, think through beforehand... and how are you going to communicate to your team, how can you let them communicate to you? So when the moment happens you do not put your team in extra danger?
The mindset of making it into a political opportunity fuels the theorist that think this was planned.
Just of Laughs.... His first reaction was we are not moving until I have my shoes!!!
When I was a boy: the Munich Olympics happened. Since then I have been hyper aware. Watching, alert, where is the exit, where are potential threats coming from. To the point it became almost a hobby to watch how secret service respond events. There slowly seems to been a shift of thinking a shift in US security, culture.
Just a thot,, This President does not drink never did, or smoke anything..he does have a great mind set . plus his upbringing, etc. Was very upsetting watching a small woman in front of possible gun shots, wud hav done nothing..to protect him. yes, huge linebackers.
My BIL is SS. He was a police officer before. As far as I know they spend most of their time on treasury assignments looking into counterfeiting, when not on a protection detail.
Not sure how I got here but I enjoyed it. Am I suppose to believe that they don't know who Trump is? Perhaps I just misheard it just seemed like they were like "I dunno this Trump guys politics but.." 😊 Regardless this was very good insight! Thank you guys!
As a rule of thumb if information won't help alter any decisions I'm making then I view gathering it as entertainment. I don't follow politics as there are other things I prefer for entertainment. I obviously know who trump is and some of the main stories but have no idea where he actually stands on most issues.
It's been widely reported before this that Trump has requested more assets from the SS because of increasing threats but has been denied those assets. Similarly, our third candidate RFK has been denied any SS assets at all despite being a Kennedy.
This show was phenomenally informative. Thank you!
Thank you for this
For your information, the secret service is mostly recruited from local police departments and as little as two years but roughly 6 years. Most are not military background
I can’t believe this is even happening. This NEVER should have been allowed to happen. Good interview!
BS - they knew a lot of time before about the venue and perimeter in which Trump will stand his rally! 30 thousand people knew about the rally and came even 2 days before. So don't tell me that it was in short notice that the secret agents didn't have time to plan and secure the area!!!
How about the theory that the SS sniper had the assassin in sight, but only took his shot after the assassin began shooting? Is this a thing now? Do SS need a confirmation that the man w/ the rifle is an assassin?
Yes. Odd isn’t it?
Trumps mindset, you can hear SS say the shooter is down. Before SS started moving Trump, they knew the threat had been iliminated.
Surely they had visual to monitor but the Police were informed of this attabker by the around . Something was wrong here . It's not conspiracy. Churchill was a Politician, Trump has akways bwen a Businessman who negotiates.
Could it been "masspsychosis"/groupthink for not keeping him low, "someone else think" ...
President Trump, while in office never got America into any wars.
28:48 this is a great interview so far!
In the video, you can hear the agents around Trump say "Shooter is down, move!". So Trump had reason to believe the danger was over, not entirely crazy for him to stand up and raise his fist.
Why was there such an odd movement off the X is that half of the detail were DEI hires. No matter how well trained and intentioned, a 5’3” female cannot be expected to be able to pick up a 200# 6+’ male who has his mind set on messaging the crowd. Especially someone bullheaded like DJT.
🌼I totally agree back to my previous comment, what was this woman agent doing, assigned to such a position to cover Trump at such a critical point! She added NO PROTECTION , NO COVERAGE❗️🌼 Facts matter!.🌼
He's not former. He IS our President. Biden was installed...like a toilet.
🌼🌼❗️Thank you, finally someone honest about the coverage of our elected leader as he was being removed from the podium what about that, the complete open space of his face and head! They put a woman agent who was so short that she could not provide the body coverage of Trump? That still just leaves me speechless! And to add there was so much fumbling as they attempted to remove him and what about this, THE SHORT WOMAN AGENT AS THEY WERE MOVING TRUMP FROM THE PODIUM AS THEY WERE GOING DOWN THE STEPS SHE STOPS TO PICK UP HIS HAT❗️❓❗️ what was that? I just can’t! Shocking…❗️🌼
I randomly arrived here. But I really enjoyed this.
Yes I agree 100 % there should be ALL Alpha Secret service Males around President Trump. ALPHA MALES PERIOD! I appreciate the Truth those 3 females that were fumbling around the vehicle was unprofessional. One female couldn't get her gun into the holster the other 2 looked weak stumbling and silly. My first impression it was scary!!!!
Already, one day after, this expert doesn't want to get into "Conspiracy Theories?"... When someone wants you to believe a narrative based on their "Expert" anal-ysis, question everything and anything that can be a possibilty or obvious.
As a woman I agree that women shouldn't be in some positions because of size! I was shocked to see women up there trying to protect him!
Trump avoided war during his administration. Biden not so much
Occasionally, a #1 body-guard officer will remain with Peesident but the protective detail is 5 years then one rotates out. The other way; Reagan brought his bodyguard California state trooper from his governor days, who famously called him governor not president which Reagan liked. Trump brought his head security guy of 20 years and somehow assimilated him into the secret service. You can see old Trump footage and presidency with same guy. His name eludes me. Great vid!!
RFK jr. Was refused secret service by the Biden Administration. I’ll give you 3 guesses what’s going on here.
Where were planecloze in- tel ppl in the crowd?????
Great point you made about the forcefulness used in the public sector. I remember Reagan being forced into the vehicle during his assignation attempt. Do you think that Trump had to hire private security? It wouldn’t surprise me if he isn’t given proper secret service protection. Look at RFK Jr.
Yes, he hired private security because he was turned down when requesting more security.
The USA has a problem with DYI hiring. Even in the SS.
When trump stood up audio, trump said stop let me get my shoe
when I can't stop talking it's because I am not at ease and I am an introvert, I hate these situations, get it when I go for the first time to a hairdresser, when I meet someone that I think is important to me. I want to shut down , after that I get so tired
Scott is the man
Okay...so how do we get more energy?
how to get over the fear of not being good enough for a job?
These episodes are perfect for flight days. 12 hours in the air is a lot of Itamar eps! 😂 Love this one. A good balance of “woo woo” and action. I appreciate both.
