Hi @anastasia10017, it started around 2:15am and lasted until about 2:30am. I got lucky. I setup my camera and went to bed and hoped to capture shooting stars from the Perseids. I got no stars but got the aurora instead which was a great surprise.

That is very true. There are stars visible in the clip that I can’t see with my eyes.

You caught me out! My terrace in NYC faces north. At this time of the year I don't have view to the sun as it goes down over Manhattan. But, I still see the colors. I used a 5 second interval. Thanks for the comment and keep watching!

Thank you, you have some great time lapses of stars and the comet! I love it. I'm in the heart of New York City. Not many stars to see here.
