this was a interesting and fun vid to watch, havent watch the other vids you made on the previous games but I will make sure to check em out too. Gears of War is a series I enjoy quite a bit (specially 2 and 3, 5 too) and I do like watching others talk about it from time to time or just play through the games.

i swear in my memory of judgment they went "is that a " "yeah it is i thought they died out" somewhere similar to that

2 weeks late but looking back at gears 4 i’ve put my hours in it. Honestly i prefer 4 over 5 because it feels more like an older gears game then 5 ever did in my opinion. Mainly at the multiplayer side of things. Yes the campaign was boring as hell, a boring enemy that lives in the shadows of the locust and don’t make me mention the dee bees. But i remember the hype of the locust characters being released, with all the teasers. And the carmine family. It was definitely a fun time to be a gears fan. The community feeling that gears 5 misses.

Honestly my favorite part of gears of war judgment was the constant action and no vehicle mission 😂 my least was only having 2 weapons

30:56 Maybe this was patched, but in the emulated unpatched version i have you can absolutely kill those maulers early and end the level right then and there as they don't end up breaking through.

Man I was getting an itch to replay gears 4 but this video reminded me of why I found nearly all of it just boring, wasn’t till Cole Baird and Sam show up that I got excited and then it just ended. I’m playing gears 5 for the first time and will probably play tactics and hive busters after so excited to see what we’ll both think of those and as far as other games I’d be interested to see what you think of the halo series.

Personally I like Gears 2 more than Gears 3, but if someone said 3 was better I wouldn’t argue. Then again I got every Onyx medal in 3, so it’s not like it wasn’t an amazing game.

I believe the stronger enemies as kilo gets closer to Karn are not due to karn knowing about their plan. It’s just a natural consequence of karn being the general, like how onyx guards loomis the locust guard their general. When Baird says karn knew they were close it’s because kilo squad has the fight through a bunch of enemies meaning that karn would hear of a bunch of his soldiers dying as this random human squad pushes closer

As a Halo fan. Yeah, when we say "it's explained in the books." I say it as not a solution and saying it's ok, more of. "Yeaaaaaaaah, got to read a book." I totally prefer things to be done in game. It's more of just saying. There is an answer. Just not in game.

Every series has to have a black sheep for Gears it's Judgement for COD arguably Ghosts for Dragon Age it's a mix up between DA2 or Inquisition.

The game would be way better if it had the screen shake of chainsaw kills and better destructive environments the lack of details is jarring

Gears 2 was the reason I got a 360. I was always a Sony kid but I never regretted my decision to jump to Microsoft.

I just finished watching the original trilogy videos. Good job, they were pretty entertaining. Now, about Gears Judgement. I agree the campaing wasnt that memorable but it actually was pretty entertaining, this game is the one i replayed the most because i enjoyed the declassified missions. While the gamemodes weren't everyones cup of tea i remember back in the day free 4 all was a gamemode everyone was asking, even in gears 3 there were custom King of the hill lobbys with friendly fire activated so you could play a version of free for all . And for the Overrun and survival modes at least for me they were pretty entertaining, mainly because i used to play with 3 other friends and the co op aspect made it pretty fun but I can understand why playing singleplayer could make it feel boring or not as appealing. Sorry for the wall of text

The introduction of the game felt like everything that I was in love with Gears, the rest of the game just felt bland compared to that. I would totally prefer more flashbacks across the campaing and the sequences in the modern day to be more horror horiented

Man if you really want to encapsulate how undercooked the swarm are just ask yourself "what do they actually want" The locust as we know them were in a war underground and were forced out as well as Myrrah having a vendetta with humanity after adams screw up. The swarm are legit still a mystery to me(a bad one) even after 2 whole campaigns.

I loved the long shot but never got explosive headshots hated the card system in 4 not getting explosive headshots after 2 years made me quit gears 4 horde I refused to pay for loot boxes 😂

4:09 the reason Dom would have gotten in trouble for rescuing marcus is that even though Hoffman pardoned everyone, in the fluff he considers saving marcus to be too risky to do with the assets he had, which Dom went against anyway.

I see judgement as like the advance warfare or mw2019 of gears of war. It was a new idea to the series, that changed a lot, and it just didnt click, so they didnt continue that system.
