I used a prong and e-collar properly on my dog, and he has absolutely no issues on or off leash
The dog looks like the target dog
They look so cute!!! They look like Be be from voltron, almost
Is this a skit?
The fauqu you mean "Is this a skit?" This is how to train a dog to walk with a loose leash. MAYbe own a dog and you'll know the pain of them pulling
@@astrolotl5896 If only it was possible to actually train my dog in this. He can dislocate a grown man's shoulder.

Nani?
Good job.
How do I teach a 5 month old to come when called?
@@miragedown first off I would start in a boring environment, a 5 month old is bound to find lots of things distracting. Second, have the BEST high value reward, whether that be really good treats like beef liver or a really fun toy to use as a reward. And lastly only train for a short (5mins max) amount of time, twice daily at the most. Any longer and both you and your pup are bound to get bored or frustrated. Heres my video on recall, both the don’t and the dos 😊th-cam.com/video/pgW_YUwai5A/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-MUOqr3I5qd1m4nx

@@seanyglass14 thank you!
Thank you for educating! It's heartbreaking to see that poor black spaniel and the other dogs getting "trained" with e-collars.
@@junemcg3334 agree, poor dogs. It’s even harder to educate how dogs who shut down are also in that same fear induced state. To the untrained eye it can look like compliance. I’ll do my best to continue educating to the best of my abilities.
Takes a ton of patience. Nicely done! 🥇 🏆 🐾 🐽
Dogs going belly up does not mean they are uncomfortable. In fact, its the quite the opposite. It means they are comfortable with showing their most vulnerable area to those around them.
@@ginofalche9857 you have to take the entire body into context. Belly up could be comfortably, it could be conflict avoidance and it can be an a dog who’s uncomfortable. Notice the lip licking and whale eye, the dog was stiff. The dog was just meeting a puppy other than its litter mates for the first time. The dog was most definitely uncomfortable and the black dog tried other behaviors until the little dog warmed up.
@@ginofalche9857 yes and showing a vulnerable side in this context was the dog avoiding conflict “hey look I’m no harm, I’m on my back”. But it didn’t mean the dog was comfortable. Dog lying on its back and allowing the other dog to sniff it has nothing to do with being uncomfortable....
This is epic
My 2 ywar old great Pyrenees licks her lips and has whale eyes. Ive only had her a few weeks. How do i help her feel comfortable and trust me?

@@nemphe.1 It’s a clients dog who came to me for social anxiety related behavior. One of those anxious behaviors comes in the form of pulling. You’re welcome to watch more of my videos with Maggie to learn more.
@@GiveaSitDogTraininglol, sources for your theories on dog psychology??? Let me guess, this is your personal take. Blame the dog for anxiety from “pulling a leash”. My head hurts, there are no bad dogs, only bad owners.
@@gamer83420 anxiety is by far not the fault of a dog but the result of the environment. Her anxiety is much less than when I first started working with her. This social arrangement definitely brought up her anxiety but a level she could manage. Like I said to the previous commenter, you’re more than welcome to watch the other videos I have made with Maggie and her progress with social anxiety and leash pulling.
What a great informative video! Ignore the angry trolls. Haters gonna hate.
@@smclaguna angry trolls…trolls are people that use name calling to insult the person, instead of making an argument to the idea. Comments, likes and subscribers are how she makes her page monetized. How adorable she's just like buddy. What are the odds we have similar hair cut styles for our golden doodles
Why the double leash?
Good question. The lead I have is 16 ft long, with two attachment points. When I walk him in a park, where there’s no cars, I give him the whole 16 feet of the lead. But when walking on the road I attach one point at the front of the harness (chest) and one on the top of the harness (shoulders) so he only has 8 feet of lead. The front chest attachment point also helps minimize the pull reflex (the opposition reflex) so if he does pull to the end of the lead, he moves to the right side instead of feeling the lead pulling him back. It won’t stop pulling but it definitely helps minimizes the frustration he would have felt if only attached to the back shoulder point.
@@GiveaSitDogTraining Nice! I’m gonna have to pick one up! Thanks for taking the time to respond 🙏. As much as I want to keep the harness my 3 year old pitty pulls way too hard. Any chance you know any trainers in Portland area with your style training you could recommend?
@@mind_haze2414 unfortunately I don’t. But what I can recommend is searching for a trainer on FearFreePets.com, since the trainers who get fear free certifications usually are also force free or R+ trainers, which is what my style of training is considered. Hope that helps. Oh and if you get a new harness, the kind I’m using is called a Y front.
This is funny, but I think he does good work for dogs who need the help.
Unfortunately people like yourself are victims of his fraud. The reality is that his methods are deeply inhumane and do not help dogs nor people in any way. His emotional manipulation is at the heart of how he justifies his “training” methods which are recognized as “appalling, abusive and ineffective” by the vast majority of professional dog trainers and by the following leading industry professional organizations: The American College of Veterinary Behavior, ABT Council, RSPCA, British Veterinary Association, The American Kennel Club, Animal Behavior and Training Council, Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers have all issued public press releases expressing their concerns and disapproval of Augusto Deoliveira AKA Dog Daddy training.
This is perfect lol

Dogs are supposed to have 4 legs?
I never had a collar or leash for my late staffie. There was no point she wouldn’t leave my heal 🤷♂️ best dog I ever had. RIP Ruby😢✌️🇬🇧
RIP Ruby, so sorry for your loss, they never live long enough. 😞 But from the short info you commented it sounds like you gave Ruby a great, off the leash, full of trust, life.
@@GiveaSitDogTraining She was my companion at play and leisure on land and by my side at work at sea. She even knew that if it wasn’t a rough day her mess wouldn’t be washed away by the action of the water through the scuppers. (cutouts in the rail where the water is able to drain off the decks) So would give me a quick woof, then once she had my attention would seem to sneeze several times while wagging her whole back end 😂🤷♂️ (never worked out why) so I could clear it up. Then the crew wouldn’t have to deal with it stand in it or worse kneel in it as they attended to the nets after each haul. If we were had working cockles, when the tide had ebbed away to leave a huge sandbar to play on, she was in heaven. She would run miles to visit each boat in turn for a fuss and a treat, then would amble back with a full belly, get a freshwater wash down, shake then snuggle down and snore like a horse 🤣 I’ve not got another since, as I’m now unable to go to sea and therefore not physically able to train one properly. Oh well such is life ✌️
Excellent training ❤

Wuby!
They are so adorable ❤❤❤ youre doing great with them
Lots of trainers use toys as rewards, especially for a dog with a high play drive. Hubby was a bomb tech and his dog’s reward was a ball.
Absolutely! My point here is that the dogs drive isn’t just to have the toy, rather work for the game. He started off getting a toy reward then ignoring any cues from me. So we built up the value of the game rather than just receiving the toy…that way I can give him a continuous rate of reinforcement 😊
You remind me of Max Caulfield
Awww thank you! She would be a much younger me.
