What a strange set. I watched some of this in the early 2000's on tv, but then I missed an episode and I had to abandon watching the entire rest of the series. Really would like to see all of it someday. This set seems to have a pretty hefty price tag though.

Hi! I love Cobra! I am a serious fan. In fact, the Jane Royal illustration you show is of my creation! it is not original Japanese art. Don´t wory, it is OK to use it. This is one of my favorite animations of all times. The Rough Ball chapters and The Captain Nelson Royal Daughters series are my favorite stories. But Salamander is also very good. The technology of this series is a weird Sci-Fi. It is different from anything else. It obviously has Star Wars elementes, but it goes beyond. I love Terbash the plant guy, with his 3 dimension satellites and the way Cobra finally gets to him. What a thrill it was to watch this series for the first time back in 1986 or 87. I was 12. I recorded it on VHS Tape and did drawing after drawing with the VHS on pause. My parents almost killed me! hahahaha

Man, this movie is awesome. Rewatched it last year. I remember reading up on the 4K restoration, and I'm glad it's out. Cool of them to include all the extras they could find, and then some. Even the booklet is too thick to be called a booklet!

Does it contain extras? The US release came with 3 disc because of the extras but the MVM one has two disc.

I should definitely rewatch Bringing Out the Dead. I was sleep-deprived the first time I saw it, which, in hindsight, is the most fitting state to see that movie in. 😸I really liked it, but in addition to my then lack-of-sleep-addled mind, it's also been at least ten years since, so I only remember bits and pieces. This will be corrected soon. Thanks for the reminder!

I'm happy the uk version got more attention put on it in terms of extras. Sure it's only got 6 art cards but the booklet is brand new and exclusive to this set.

Is it cheaper to import in Finland then? You always seem to get UK releases so that's why I'm asking.

It's a pretty nice set. I pre-ordered it directly from AL's shop back in October and after being delayed once, it finally arrived in February. Love me some Black Lagoon. It's one hell of a blast lol
