I'm in the middle of deciding to build foxglove or roon. My playgroup knows my hate for blink etb. I purchased 6 torpor orbs and never looked back. This deck would be a spite choice when I get salty lol.

Feedback: I think some of the card choices don't make sense for Sam. For instance, cards like Graham, Kor Cartographer, Treasure Map, Gold Pan, Crop Rotation, Gold Rush, Harrow, Pariah, and Ulvenwald Mysteries don't fit the theme of what Sam wants to do. Your ramp should be mostly creature based (mana dorks or other fetch creatures like Sakura tribe elder). Redundancy is good for a commander deck. Since you have Path to Exile, you should have Swords to plowshares too.

Life // death is okay for the deck, but life doesn't help with the colored cost of hogaak since it doesn't give your land creatures a color, and that's mostly what I want to pay for

excellent deck, however there are a couple of cards that I don't like very much, which in my opinion don't synergize well with the commander. As strong as Mikaeus is as a card, it doesn't allow you to put slimefoot and squee into the graveyard, which is perhaps the main mechanic of the deck. I also don't like Thantis, as he makes your saprolings attackers, who instead have to survive to put the commander back on the battlefield. in my opinion we should opt for some creature with more interactions with the enemy board

No clock of omens ? Use it with magda and an artifact creature with changeling and infinite treasures

this deck is a cool stomper but you should focus on going infinite turn three and then sending in the brostorm i am updating my selvala cedh post lotr soon and doing a deck tech......cut all those big creatures for mana dorks and untap cards kogla and ewit ability to bounce etc just go infinite and use triumph of hordes or finale of dev... duskwatch is a great draw guy get selvala out turn 2 go infinite on three and win. umbral mantle staff even llanowar can do infinite mana. the secret commanders in my deck are really ashaya and kogla hahahaha...great vids i like the channel alot got a sub

Plainswalkers are pointless, you NEVER ultimate the one and the ramp is marginal at best...

Vehicles are great in Magda to make the dwarves tap. I also like to put a few big artifact creatures to put pressure on the battlefield. Like Phyrexian triniform, Ancient stone Idol, Reaver titan or Blightsteel/Darksteel Colossus if it is on the budget

How is the mana going usualy in the games? I always struggled with 4 and 5 colors and 35 lands and 3 ramping spells scares me. I still wanna try out this fun commander tho

Cromat + Mutate = crazy funk.

I have played Slimefoot and Squee and there are several ways we can build a very powerful and very versatile deck for relatively cheap. I see in your video that you're comfortable running Deadly Rollick so we're probably fine running a few cards that really amplify the reanimation strategy. Kodama of the East Tree lets us play cards from our hand whenever a card comes into play without that ability. That means lots of things. Every time we cheat our commander into play we get a creature with x mana cost, 3 mana cost and 0 mana cost. That means we could cheat a large creature from hamd into play, a smaller utility piece into play and a land into play every time we do this. Let's say you cheat in Razaketh the foulblooded into play while kodama is in play. Put protean hulk into play for free and you've also got riveteers ascendancy in play and now you get to cheat in more creatures. Pair this with phyrexian altar and pitiless plunderer amd we've got combination synergy that is going to win us games very early by overwhelming our opponent, or using budget mana generation like brood monitor paired with pitiless plunderer

Hi, I have tinkered a lot with this commander, Sneak Attack is a cards you could like for this deck, and if you are going for the self mill and reanimation route, I think you could have better reanimation targets, things like Archon of Cruelty, Stone Idol, Etali (both), instead of random cards like mage dragon, meteor golem, and red dragon you are running, also, blood artist and grey merchant of asphodel don't fit the reanimation theme at all, so you could swap them for something more interesting, and try to run more saproling generation cards, otherwise you can get easily stuck without being able to return your commander from the graveyard. I hope you like any of my suggestions c:

I have many cards i want to recommend for an Ob Nixilis EDH Deck: Creatures: Varragoth, Bloodsky Sire Crypt Ghast Magus of the Coffers Maralen of the Mornsong Opposition Agent Archfiend of Despair Tree of Perdition Dread Presence Planeswalker: Sorin Markov Sorceries: Black Sun's Zenith Damnation Toxic Deluge Instant: Dark Ritual Artifacts: Crucible of Worlds Expedition Map Extraplanar Lens Jet Medallion Jeweled Lotus Mana Crypt Sol Ring Sword of the Animist Wishclaw Talisman Enchantments: Necropotence Phyrexian Arena Wound Reflection Lands: Cabal Coffers Field of Ruin Strip Mine Thespian's Stage Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth Vesuva Wasteland In my opinon would these cards better fit in a Ob Nixilis Deck.

It's pretty solid. Maybe a few tweaks, but I think at the end of the day it's a preference thing, and what you as a player are trying to accomplish with the system and synergy. I'll leave a comment of my edit if you're interested.

I got a mystery box from Ole Walmart and it had a Sram commander deck in it. A few different cards than yours but same concept. I didn't think I would like the playstyle much, but it turns out, it's my favorite deck so far. You've inspired me to make some tweaks. Thanks for the informative content!

Budget deck, right? seems like there is a lot of better goblins, than 33% of the ones you showed

I didnt even know where ancients tread was a card. Warstorm surge is far better though for 1 extra mana

Is there anyone who actually makes a serious bear deck, or just a bunch of casual noobs who just throw a bunch of bear commons in and call it a deck? Not worth a video, nothing anybody playing MTG commander couldn’t pull out their ass in 2 min, no deeper combos like food chain, words of Wilding and real balance. Every bear vid is the same stupid “I like bears and I put them in the deck, budget of course”.

34 Lands with such a high mana curve and such little Ramp is a bad idea. This deck will not perform well often...

burnished hart and solemn similacrum are good in non-green decks, but in a mono green there are much better and cheaper ramps like nature's lore and three visits, and meteor golem isn't worth the cost imo, better something like beast within

Don’t like to run other eggs in the deck cause it feels bad when you crack an egg just to get another egg

3:34 Winding Constrictor is almost never good in this deck since you're running creatures that already come in with minus counters, so you'd be adding one more, which isn't good except for that one green creature that can remove a minus counter to destroy target artifact or enchantment. The Winding Constrictor also only affects your own creatures, so it won't do anything by putting minus counters on your opponent's creatures. Lastly, you're not running a plus counters theme, which is the only play that Winding Constrictor is good with besides experience counters. Your non creature spell package is mostly very weak, but the rest was pretty solid. I don't know what the other person was talking about when they commented that a lot of your card inclusions made no sense. You actually put a good degree of thought into the deck, minus the handful of questionable non creature spells that weren't the most efficient or impactful. Nice job and your deck tech was more on theme than the other Hapatra decks on TH-cam.

It doesn't have to be the best to be fun. Looks like alot of fun.

Have you thought of maybe removing a few creatures and add some passive damage outlets as additional wincons? Goblin bombardment, impact tremors and witty toastmaster come to mind with purphoros god of the forge being the best one but not a budget include.

I'm planning on building this right now, any cards you would add from the sets released since this video dropped?
