@Hum Bull Awwww. Feelers hurt? Did you get ripped off by Phred instruments twice? They promised to make my order correct TWICE, took my money and didn't deliver. But you just assume that I'm talking shit. But I, among tons of other unhappy customers, have a history with Phred being shady.

When someone tries to emulate you or something you created, it is a huge compliment and if that person shows their version of your creation they are not only seeking your approval but they also hold you in a high place of respect and they are humbly showing their admiration for you. They see things in you that they would like to have and wish you would show an interest in them and mentor them as to how you accomplished those things about you that they admire so much. Purposely trying to find loopholes in patent laws to repicate a product so it can be mass produced with lower quality materials to drastically lower the price point to attract your customers and outsell your business until you can no longer compete is wrong and unethical and probably illegal. For example, Gibson vs Dean. However, if your company is producing Lamborghini's and their company is selling fiberglass lookalike kits that fit on a vw bug, leave them alone. They are not treading in your demographic and are at least giving a person a chance to dream.

He's also learned to remain humble and conscientious while genuinely listening and showing interest in what the random people he meets have to say. I wish more people would practice the golden rule. We all need to put ourselves in the other person's shoes and take an honest look at ourselves before we judge or criticize or form an opinion about someone or something someone created. By sending negativity out into the world even negative thoughts without speaking the words takes energy away from goodness and feeds darkness. Only people with cluster b personality disorders get off on negative attention and sadistic-ly dehumanizing and inflicting harm on people.

@@brandonbarrett7595 the wood strips inside that strengthen and make it resonate just right. Think like the inside of a hull of an old ship but lots smaller 😂 usually acoustic guitars are braced with X bracing or some other variations.

It is but not an arch top guitar so it doesn't need bracing.

Lmao. No, Phred Instruments did not just lose a famous customer. Trey plays the real version of this Phred Instruments copy/knock-off. They are still great guitars for a good price but Trey’s Languedoc guitars are what inspired Phred to make these as a budget-friendly way to be able to play models similar to Trey’s various Languedocs and Garcia’s Wolf and Rosebud guitars as well. So it’s safe to say Trey would never be a customer at Phred to begin with lol his guitar is the real deal OG model of this guitar.

some of the docstars have a koa veneer. I'd rather buy one from you, but the price of admission is steep, there's now low end from you, and the only way to get one of these ladies in my hands is a low end with upgrades over time. This is to say, I want yours but can't afford it all in. The are gorgeous either way.

I own the Wolph, and yes phreds instruments are mostly veneered. But they're still quality for such an affordable price. The stock pickups aren't bad TBH.

The Ollandoc only has KOA veneer....

@@terp8740 Yepp. I've played The Ollandoc a few times...more of a novelty than a real Hollowbody. No kerfing, no bracing, the exterior is just veneer. Felt like a cheap overseas kit that Olson assembles and calls handmade. The only thing I could really credit as quality is the electronics.

It was a pleasantry. Treys languedoc is leagues beyond the phreds copy model guitars. Theyre not even comparable.other than from maybe an initial quick glance. It absolutely feels different. Everything about them is different. Trey was being nice, as he always does. He definately knows the difference just from that five seconds of playing it. They dont even compare

​@@chasecarter1170i have since bought a lanq from the original post. Yes its better, but if youre on a budget the phred does come close. The only diffrence is th tension. There is something about the lanq that perfectly nails the cross between a strat tele and LP
