I like to think that Blake is oldest sister with an angry attitude and Ruby is the youngest with a lot of courage and puts up with Blake's temper. Because it's fun, I adore these two interacting with each other.

Jaques Schnee is an even more hateable character than Cinder. Making everyone in his sphere of influence miserable and then weaponsing that very misery against them to make them all feel responsible for the broken home *he* made. If anyone on the show had ever actually punched him in the face I would watch it on a 10 hour loop.

Weiss and Blake’s beginning arc was a good arc because it helped Weiss to learn to not judge others

It's even worse considering Blake doesn't even speak for a total of 3 minutes in the entirely of Volume 7. She's there, you can see her. The character gets screentime. But she doesn't speak at all. Then again, volumes 4 and 5 were SO focused on telling their stories separately, which was needed, but it doesn't help that they dragged out all the storylines by a thread in order to have them all end at the same time. Many people say that the girls shouldn't have split up. But I disagree. I think the stories should have been told in chronological order. Which means less balancing the stories. Volume 4 should have had mostly Blake's story, from both volumes 4 and 5 (though not all of it) mixed with parts of Weiss's story and the earlier parts of RNJR's story. Volume 5 should have consisted of largely RNJR, as well as Yang's and Weiss's stories, all weaving together, and finishing up Blake's story early in the volume before meeting up with the rest of Team RWBY at the end of the volume. Actually, I might do just that. Cut together chronological versions of volumes 4 and 5.

Jokes aside this honestly pathetic. It’s honestly insane how Team JNPR are written better in the sense that they actually feel like a team.. family the longer you watch. While RWBY just feel like work colleagues who’ve just been around each other for awhile. Ruby and Blake have likely spent more time talking to each other in ONE season from Ice Queendom than the entirety of the original lol.
