Best testing kit for sparks? [C.K Magma Test Case review]
A true bag of goodies on display here in what I think is the best testing setup for any electrician who tests on a regular basis. The C.K magma test case is like the Tardis that a certain doctor frequents as compared to how small it appears it can fit a small family car inside (untested).

The Van Tour [Electricians holy grail]
มุมมอง 27K3 ปีที่แล้ว
The van tour is here! Who doesn't love to look through the keyhole or van lock in this case of another blokes everyday carry van style? I work in social housing and my van gear reflects that, Mira showers, JCC lights and MK sockets galore. Check it out and please subscribe, like and comment. 00:00 - Intro 01:34 - Inside the cab 03:55 - Inside the back 11:50 - Rhino tube top tip 13:15 - Outro
2016 Ford Transit Custom Review [Electricians opinion]
มุมมอง 2.8K3 ปีที่แล้ว
The new channel is here! Join me as I walk you around what I think is a top drawer pick van for any electrician. The van is the first thing any customer sees when you arrive on a job so having the right one for you is essential! The Ford Transit is always a safe choice although not the cheapest i do think its the best choice for sparkies in the UK. Easy to drive, lots of extras available and go...
As a spark ive always left the shower and water heater changes to the plumbers, maybe its time to give it a bash?
WORKING CLASS MAN TALKING COMMON SENSE ,AND THAT AINT THAT COMMON , GOOD LUCK MATE ALL THE BEST.
Interesting video simple racking set up in van looking forward to seeing the video on the Mira shower you mentioned
How much are they paying this bloke ? Mine fell apart after 6 weeks , stitching and zips shite
As long as you don’t start to click bait I’ll keep watching
What is your thoughts on the ford Transit Custom panel van .. reliability , Mileage , servicing .. ?
It's like a mini wholesalers in your van! Great vid
You stole my name.
Where’s the coke head sam he’s normally hanging out the back of you somewhere the reprobate
What power tools do you use as in brand etc
Dewalt mate, always dewalt.
Those JCC fittings are awful, unbranded drivers, they don't last well and are mass produced to different specs every couple of years so the bases might fit now but give it a year or so and they will change it all again. There are fittings from ASD Lighting which I have used in my premises which have had the same based for 30 odd years! Get your buyer to look at them. They also did full lighting calcs for us to ensure compliance with the EM lighting regs.
I've never had a problem to be honest. The bases have been the same for at least 10 years. The drivers do change but when we replace we change everything anyone. Takes about 5 minutes for a full swap over. No complaints from me but each to their own.
@@TheBeardedSpark Fair comment bud. I've had nothing but issues with them. Bad batch?!?
@@peterpeterson9903 possible but we all have our preference to be fair. They ain't the best but the price reflects that I guess.
Surprised you can keep the gear in the van for more than 5 minutes over in Basvegas without it walking off 😂.
Haha I'm very lucky on that front.
Great 👍🥸
Good video fella might be an idea to set the camera up on a stand and do a bag dive or your most used tools on a table set up might help all the people coming into the trade out give them an idea of what tools are used more than others
Cheers bud, my biggest problem is having no where to record. Too many kids, I should have bought a TV 🤣
Any power tools???
Yes mate but hardly used now on social housing. I'll do a bag dive, you will be surprised what I get in there
Can’t see a dust pan and brush.!! Tipical sparks 😉🤣
It's elusive 🤣

Im nearly 19 im currently doing my level 2 installations at college and im really struggling to find an apprenticeship. Im in the Essex area. I didn’t know if you had any advice to for someone looking for an apprenticeship I don’t know if it’s because of COVID? Thanks in advance.
Search for apprentice 121 (A121) and Mark will try to help mate.
👍👍👍 From me Ricky
Thanks mate
😀😀👍👍👍Welcome back ricky you old 💎💎💎💎
Thanks bud
Only ever heard your podcasts on Spotify so didn’t know what you looked like. I thought your voice was familiar rick😂😂
Sorry for the disappointment 🤣
Great video mate , what model are the jcc bulkheads if you don't mind me asking. We use ansell disco bulkheads but the covers are twist off not screw and I like the look of the jcc
This is as close as I could find mate, the ones we use are clear not opal and no photocell but can't seem to find the exact ones. www.electrical2go.co.uk/jcc-radialed-utility-mains-ip65-o283mm-bulkhead-21w-4000k-2000lm-wpr-onoff-p-cell.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiApsiBBhCKARIsAN8o_4gADbGeAUTq1oj0HTNl4fB2eOgIkBRCSs-BNEDpWjXPe9UxvobrMGUaAjk0EALw_wcB
The sponge idea is genius! :)
So simple lol
@@TheBeardedSpark Proud new owner of a yellow sponge! You’ve gained a new sub! I’ve noticed it keeps the rattling noise down while driving too - well chuffed.
No power tools? Great vid, subscribed
Not as daily carry
Good video! Just be careful and empty them expensive items every night, nothing worse than van thieves!
Sound advice. I've been lucky so far but plenty haven't. I also recommend tools in transit insurance from rhino trade insurance.
Glad I got recommended this!
Brilliant vid bro, keep them coming 👌
Hi why did you start a new channel
Me and Sam went our separate ways
Hi, Rick, I have subscribed I did ask Mark what happened to you since you stopped doing Monday Club ( hope you haven't fallen out with Sam and the others) but he didn't put in his reply you had your own channel now. Enjoyed the first three.
Thanks mate, me and Sam went our own ways but I still do stuff with Mark and Neil. Check out the electricians show.
I ❤️ Ricky on his own channel 👍👍👍
This is the most useless bag ever. It takes up more space than the original case but with less storage space
Not a chance you can get the kit I have here into the original box. I've tried.
Thanks for the video rick
Great video mate. But why not keep your MFT in a fluke hard box? And why fluke when most of your test kit is kewtech why have a kewtech MFT? I use a ROBIN kts 1620 MFT witch is now the Kewtech KT62 multifunction tester. All the big brand names are over priced and over rated, I have heard loads of say they have had problems with fluke and have gone over to kewtech or matrel. My MFT is twenty years old and I have never had any problems with it. Nice bit of kit though and a great video
I cant get all my kit in the fluke box, although it is a quality box. Fluke is company spec, if I was to buy I would go for a megger 1741 myself I think. The kewtech stuff is what I've bought myself. As for overpriced I think its very much a case of you get what you pay for. The KT62 is a brilliant but of kit for the price but its not as quick at testing as the more expensive brands and don't do as much "under the hood" I've had a play with metrel and that is a tester you will have for years and years as you can download new tests to it as requirements change (the premium model at least) but it is the most expensive tester.
@@TheBeardedSpark I think you're right but at the end of the day they all do the job and it's down to personal choice. I don't have any thing to do with EV chargers or anything like that so I don't need one off the big brands I happy with my old faithful ROBIN kts 1620 MFT and my uni-f voltage indicator. Nice one anyway mate I look forward to seeing more of your videos.
Nice one mate Great video
Thanks bud more coming soon

Cheers Ricky what an great video really enjoyed it.You inspired me to buy a set of those Kew tech lampholder test things. I’ve got be honest I’ll be only used them a couple of times as I prefer to take the light down to test it.I wanna make a similar video for my channel and I’ll tag you in it when I do it.Keep the videos coming classmate
Look forward to that mate. I always take the cover down anyway but know what you mean. Horses for courses my friend.
What fluke handheld tester is that Ricky as its not in the description
The contunity tester?
Yeah 🤦♂️ nest smoke alarms have fired my brain 🤣
@@KnugenMooMoo links there mate 👍 but I'm sure mine are the t150. The highest of the t series range anyway

Thank you for watching bud
Those Mira showers are brilliant since they made them easier to pair
Double easy to pair i love them
An interesting film for any young sparks who is thinking about creating a business, a nice heads up on whats required in a van.
Thanks Bob
I take my hat off to all of you guys who make films, pod casts etc - well done.
