Welcome to The Running Bear Travels. This Channels main focus is adventure, travel, bike, bikepacking and hiking. If you are into travelling the world, camping and living an outdoor life this is the channel for you.
We collect money for our NGO based in Ghana which helps children in need. Currently we build a youth center there.

End of January I will go on a Bike Trip from Accra to the border to Cote d'Ivoire so I want to share my Equipment and give you some Tips on how to get started.
Why would someone take a Bike and ride across Ghana you ask? Well, thats a very good question.
We weren’t satisfied to just ask others for money. We wanted to set an example for the kids and people who are trusting us with their money. In order to receive you have to give something so David is sacrificing his time, health and private money to set an example. Everything is financed privately up until now.
We believe that we will be able to raise attention to what we are doing and of course David will document the whole trip and share it on social media platforms.
The donations for this bike trip will go 100% to:
- the kids community center (with a workshop)
- bikes for ghanaian kids
The community center is the base for everything we will do. that being said this needs to be done ASAP. In order to do so we need help.
I want to do bike trips with them, bring them back to nature and teach them skills they can use: basic knowledge about bikes, how to repair them and how fun these are.
I needed to write this down. When times get tough (and they will) I have to remember why Iam doing all of this. The world can be a very dark place but we have to shine a light to change something.

Not swimming is common for Black people in America because there are no pools in Black communities also Black people were not allowed in white area’s where pools are. That is changing now. I was fortunate to learn how to swim as a child.
