I have deputed my disciples and if by Kṛṣṇa's grace I *recover* from this condition, then *I shall begin again.* ) *THE LAW OF DISCIPLIC SUCCESSION IS:* Letter to Tusta Krsna, 2 Dec 75 : During the lifetime of your Spiritual master you bring the prospective disciples to him, and in his absence or disappearance you can accept disciples without any limitation. *This is the law of disciplic succession*.

*SRILA PRABHUPADA'S ORDERS REGARDING INITIATION* * Letter to - Hamsaduta- Los Angeles 3 January, 1969: *All of my disciples WILL BE ALLOWED to initiate.* and increase the numbers of the *generations.* * *Upadesamrita-5:* A neophyte Vaiṣṇava or one on intermediate platform madhyam Adhikari *can also accept disciples.* (Meaning all disciples *can* initiate) * *CC Madhya 8.128:* If one is conversant in the science of Kṛṣṇa he *can become a dīkṣā-guru.* * Bhagavad-gītā 4.2, Bombay, March 22, 1974: Just like I have spoken something to *my disciple,* he says the same thing to *his disciple.* * SB 2-9-39: One who is *now the disciple is the next spiritual master.* * Letter to Krsna Devi, Tittenhurst 2 November, 1969: Anyone who is qualified *can initiate disciples.* * Room Conversation May 30, 1976, Honolulu: *Every one of you should become Guru.* I'm training you for that. But we never attempted during the lifetime of our Guru Mahārāja. That is *not the etiquette.* (Etiquette is to become Guru after disappearance). * Letter to Tusta Krsna, New Delhi 2 December, 1975: In *disappearance of spiritual master you can accept disciples,* without any limitation. Every student should become acharya and then train *his disciples.* * Room Conversation July 18, 1971, Detroit : Whoever is initiated, he is competent to *make disciples.* But as an *etiquette not in the presence* of spiritual master (Etiquette is to make disciples but after disappearance). * Lecture on S B 7-9-28 - Mayapur, March 6, 1976: Follow this literature strictly, then *you'll be able to make disciples.* * CC Madhya 24.331, Purport: *If spiritual master agrees,* one can be initiated immediately.(Agreement is required from spiritual master, like Narotam Dāsa Thakur and Śrīla Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur got agreement after many denials by Guru. It is not that someone who has not even met Prabhupāda makes someone else Prabhupada’s disciple). * Letter to Sudevi, 15 September, 1972: Siddhasvarupa should not have disciples *while I am alive.* That is the process (meaning disciples only after disappearance). * Letter to John Milner - Bombay 24 March, 1971: So far as your taking initiation from Brahmananda Maharaja, *I have no objection* , but in presence of his Spiritual Master is *not the etiquette.* (Meaning no objection, but only after disappearance) * Letter to Acyutananda written from Honolulu, May 16, 1972: Now the time is approaching very soon when *you will have many disciples.* * Letter to Kirtanananda, Los Angeles 25 January, 1969: *Just like I have got disciples,* in the future *these disciples may have many branches of disciplic succession.* * Room Conversation May 30, 1976, Honolulu: *Every one of you should become Guru.* * Letter to Madhusudana, 2 November 1967: *I wish* that in my absence *all my disciples become the bonafide spiritual master.*
