A lot of teachers don't bother to think. They turn their brains off when they started relying on textbooks. This is much more common in elementary and high school because the teachers are even more sure they know everything in the books have to be correct. I remember one truly good teacher in high school then if you came up with a solution other than the one in the textbook and you could prove it they would double check to see if it's true in all situations if so he would congratulate you. I remember one time somebody came up with something their math was bad so they came up with the wrong, however he checked the way they were going about it and if they're meth have been correct they would have worked. It was about the same length as the theory that was in common practice just slightly longer . Oh yeah there are good teachers out there

I once pointed out to one of my Professors that I had spotted an inaccuracy in a book. I didn't shut me down, he actually agreed. Then he told me I wouldn't have needed it for my exam and to stick to the notes I had taken in class 😂 Actually, thinking of it thare was another similar instance: this time the Professor concurred the statement about the treatment and prognosis of a disease in the book was wrong and told me she would contact the editor to have it corrected in the subsequent reprints. I guess I had decent professors.

The link diagram between unvented cylinder and outdoor unit was wrong cba to delve into it but it caused the outdoor unit to only run on frost so it was it didnt run efficiently i told my dad about 30 times to the link was in the wrong hole turned out the company we was contacting for was using old stock and the control panel was recalled and i was correct and there was a error on the installation manuals for the control panel wiring diagram and Honeywell had issued the recall 2 years before 😂
