I have the same question. If I find a new printer do I just need to replace the toner and adjust the settings?

If you have a new printer and the toner bottles have not been installed then you will just need to replace the toner in the bottles and the developers.

Probably a developer issue.

We can supply empty bottles for the 840 but they are €40.00 each.

The toner usage will depend on the density of the print. It varies from 0.1g per sheet A4 for normal text to 1.0g per sheet for solid full colour.

0.1g per sheet for A4 text, up to 1.0g for full colour solid artwork.

1 kg of toner would be enough to print 10,000 sheets of text or 1000 sheets of full colour

It depends on the colour density. If you're printing text then it will easily do this but if it's heavy colours then the answer is no.

@@linacymbalista6365 Yes the toners and developers do have to match. The developer is a mix of carrier (iron) and toner. We can supply to Brasil.

You need to use ceramic toners in a laser printer in order to create transfers which can be fired in a kiln.

You need to clean the machine as per this video, then replace the toner and finally you need to replace the developers. We have further videos to show the additional processes.

Hello David, this video is showing you how to clean out the toner hopper supply unit. The alternative would be to just refill the toner bottles with ceramic toner and print solid sheets of colour to flush out the original toner. I don't recommend this method as it's likely that there will be some dilution of the colour for a while until or the original toner has been exhausted.

You need to run on a Thick 3 paper setting to get the ceramic toners to fuse on the decal paper. It is possible to increase the fusing temperature too in the service mode.

Once who have cleaned out the original toners then you will need to install ceramic toners and developers. We have videos for this too but they are only available to clients via fotoceramic.com or printceramic.com

You have to refill the toner bottles and developer units manually.

@@firecrack8747 Seems to me only a few company selling the ceramic toners, if you buy it online, I wonder does it work or not, and surely no one will help you and do not waste time or money on the printer tech or copy techs, they do not know the problem, my opinion also suggest that, do not buy the parts individually, buy another machine for parts.

If you buy a used printer, do everything in the video, replace toner with ceramic toner, is that all you need to do for this model printer to print waterslides? Do these printers have toner chips that will stop you from refilling or putting the ceramic toner cartridges in, propitiatory?

@@eurekaart9309 It took me years to convert successfully, it is not worth to buy a old printer to convert as you might need parts and the manufacturer will not support, and many parts can not obtain from the market. You must learn a lot by your own, you need chips for replacement of the toners. My suggestion is better buy a turn key system, still, if you are not in this industry, your learning curve will be very long - it is not simple photo editing, also firing curve is different for different materials.
